note: not only suspend, it seems to be a coop with Nah-Kolor.

NICE demo... good 3d design. good feeling, great music!

Points for the "obsolete hardware wizard" found in the demo :)

is not too bad at all. quality models from l-graph made this demo winner.
wonderful.

not bad ,tho somehow it wasnt that enjoyin as it could be.music is good tho a bit too chaotic in some points.3d could be more interesting aswell if you decide to make a pure 3d demo.addict demo was better imho.

Bit slow on my computer, but still rocks.

Not as good as 'The S' but still nice.

What is that green iguana thing doing in the middle of all this industrial stuff??

Apart from that - a very nice prod!

Some cool stuff, some not-so-cool stuff (I have to agree that although I liked the Iguana I kinda, uh, missed the point).

nordbasse / rcl, you rock :D

overall a fine demo, too bad it's kinda disorganized... (wtf is with the iguana? :))

Mechanical Dreams and The S by the same group was much better.....this one is average...and boring.

i didn't get that iguana either :) but apart from that, it was a solid demo. the musics structure threw me off some times, but i liked this demo. thought the flowers were a nice touch.

MSG TO MAALI: THIS demo is only a SUSPEND production.

YES!

The loading screens says otherwise.

Doesn't really matter, there are some nice touches to this demo and I happen to enjoy the music.

Very nice. Was the pixelation a design choice or just the RTT size too small for the res I ran it at?
rulez added on the 2004-10-11 06:37:42 by SiW SiW
very nice prod. Some really good modelling and texturing there, and generally nice flow except maybe the lizard, although it looked good so it's forgivable :)

good suspend prod... I prefer the S anyway

It manages to look good, but where's the design? The S got at least some design and a nice flow, but this, the other Industrial demo, and Mechanical dreams have none. I'd really like to thumb this up, but that lizard thingie was simply too much.

Fresh and stylish are not the words that describe this, sorry neo ;p

Apart from the Iguana and the music, nothing jumped out and made me think wow, or even thats nice. All it made me do was wanna watch Liquid Forms again.

A bit boring most times (slow progressing parts). Some impressive scenes but that's all. I still like previous Suspend productions more..

MSG TO CARSON: then WHY does the loading screen say 'NAH-KOLOR AND SUSPEND PRESENT:'? :P
added on the 2004-10-11 21:01:40 by maali maali
Good question Maali. Maybe it is because Nordbasse and Deesis are both in Nah-kolor.

loading screen say that becouse this demo we made in cooperative at first, but they appeared some problems and to today`s day a don`t know what. so we are a suspend members too then this is no big problem...did it? (sory for my english) - Nordbasse
added on the 2004-10-11 23:07:36 by nordbasse nordbasse
Good demo with a cool loader, great music and good visual animations. Very great style!
rulez added on the 2004-10-12 14:06:44 by René Madenmann René Madenmann
Well, I'm agree that lizard does not fit the theme at all. Actually Deesis came up with idea of an iron lizard sitting on the pipes. However, modeller misunderstood her and we got that iguana - and there was about 3 hours till the deadline :-) So we had to insert that or we would get a gap between two scenes. I think that we remove that in final version (just for the sake of consistency).

About Nah-Kolor issue: Deesis and Nord are actually Nah members also so that the demo had to be a cooperation (that's why the loading screen). But they decided to join Suspend and this way we avoided that :)

Actually, I feel that Suspend is somewhat large now, and there's a competition inside the group :) We had two demos from SPD on the same party hehe :)

Thanks for the comments and opinions, we're glad that you liked the demo :) We still have to learn how to design to improve consistency of our demos, and your comments help us in that :-)

Mike 3D: you don't have a videocard with 2.0 shaders. Demo should start 'obsolete hardware found' wizard which explains that :)
added on the 2004-10-13 11:14:04 by RCL RCL
Very nice looking, but I think the design was messy. Feels more like a techdemo but it would require much much more to be impressive. So piggy this time ...

Nice ! I love 'techno' demoes and this is a good one !
rulez added on the 2004-10-27 11:04:19 by AbcuG! AbcuG!
The pistons near the beginning looked a little on the phallic side. I really thought the flowers with chains for stems was great. Nice bump-mapping on the face.

Unfortunately, this demo was little more than a hodge-podge of odds and ends. I've always preferred demos that employ a constant theme/idea to maintain coherency, but this production lacks that mystical element even though the loading screen promises one.
yeah! suspend rocks!

I don't know. I'm not pigging because it aged a bit, I liked retro/aged demos and if that was the only challenge here I'd still thumb up.. but considering era it comes from, it tries so hard to be shad meets kasparov a bit to me... but without that something, perhaps the soundtrack is way to generic for the visual ambition this demo had back in the days. I liked 'the S' much more as well, because of it's sync and dynamics. It all was lacked here.
