The individual effects were mediocre, and they didn't fit together well. A little design would help this demo a lot.

The cartoon characters were an interesting touch. I wonder if they were worth the trouble they caused with the jurry.

I dunno about this 'jury' thing, I liked the cartoon guys (:
Decent, though I frigging hate the effect in the screenshot. A little design wouldn't have hurt the demo in any way..

SG, the question the standard one - were the cartoon chars ripped with no rights to use them or not. E.g. in Assembly the productions which use such material have been disqualified. Jury voted on this issue and majority of it decided that it will not be disqualified. It was not that clear case anyway.

i totally love the execution of the effects. no messy all-around-character shit, just pure block ansi beauty! the 2d gfx (cartoon characters etc) were not good though - 0 shading, 0 style. you should have asked an ansi artist to help you. and it absolutely doesn't matter if they are "ripped" or not, it's about good execution. piss on the corporations' copyrights!
the music then totally riuned everything. unimaginative ugly audiopiece of demoscene cliché.

hm yeah, i didn't want to give the thumb... well, consider it for the effects alone then! especially the one in the screenshot was so nice.

The cartoon characters really detracted from the quality of this demo, IMHO. Ripped or not ripped, they looked like they were drawn with a "GIF-2-ANS" tool and were not impressive.

Now, had an ANSI artist like Unseen drew these characters by hand, that would be a completely different story.

The effects are really nice however, music so-so. Piggy.

Upon reading the rest of the comments, it appears I just paraphrased dipswitch.

So, we agree. :)
