Good music by Skyrunner and nice touch from Nytric. Doesn't bring too much into the "generator" intro world, but it's definitely the best release by BC ever.

If I except the fact it crashed in the native resolution of my lcd (1680x1050), and thus had to watch it in some crapy interpolated resolution... I didn't find it enjoyable. Nothing to reproach from a technical point of view, it's not ugly, the music is not bad, but well. Boring.

Some of the makers had an amiga?

"Please insert disk2" was fun!

Looked cool. At the endscroller they claim its an mpg stream compressed in 64k ? Yeay right! :-)

all in all good work..

Dont use same stuff twice (or more) in an intro ;-)

Why do I still like their first intro the most? Still, this one had it's nice moments.
rulez added on the 2006-01-02 01:58:21 by Optimus Optimus
Optimus ,our first intro was "Shockwave" ,the one you refer to is our third intro called "Icemachine". (I know you mean that one cause you emphasized that in every of your comments to our productions ever since. :O) )
added on the 2006-01-02 02:13:47 by Skyrunner Skyrunner
Yes, I was slightly wondering before writting this comment, cause I probably don't remember if Icemachine was the first one or not :)
added on the 2006-01-02 02:21:12 by Optimus Optimus
Does the title have anything to do with LCP memories btw? (I think not but the title is funny to remind me that demo ;)

p.s. Hmm,. yeah, I see I have said that comment with Ice machine in 2-3 other reviews of yours, though there are 2 more intros I also didn't liked there and I would like the same "I like Icemachine more" sentence there too. But don't worry, I like this one more than the other "non icemachine" intros of yours, so you are improving into my liking =)

pretty damn nice, codewise. but the design it flawed in it's boringness, though there are some very very nice scenes in this intro. the whole thing is more or less ruined by the bad music though - terribly boring, annoying and just plain bad. sorry. :)

hmm.. tons of content, some nice designed scenes, good tune, good engine, but it lacked any particular high point, and I REALLY hate that washed-out colour look. How long before we can get HDR in this kind of intro?

Tons of flyby content. The same "transitions" repeated over and over and over again got old real fast. That glass thingy on the screenshot scene was nice, but I expected to see some effects other than the mandatory glow and blur. All in all, not exactly a bad intro but definitely not my style.
added on the 2006-01-03 21:44:30 by break break

Very nice music. It's the exact same repetitive ambient style I've grown to despise, yet it had a melody, interesting chord progressions, and actually had varied segments.

And the visuals... nice shapes and all... suddenly it hit me that the entire demo is in cyan, magenta, black and white- EGA colors! Or was it CGA? Anyway, that amused me.
rulez added on the 2006-01-23 02:17:40 by crusader crusader
I think the 4 colour mode was called CGA and EGA had 16 colours. But I don't really know.
And I don't know if Nytrik chose the "CGA"-colours on purpose either! =)

CGA had cyan magenta black and white and another palette with some greenish some brownish some white and some black. EXCITING!

cool, but I like icemachine revolution more... this one is a bit too long and missing any kind of 'high point'...

VERY nice. has a conspiracy-meets-assembly '94 feel to it. :) satisfyingly long. (not too long, imo). there is a little, however, too much syncing (the start/stop motions). yes, it is possible to oversynch. the end gag was cute.

Well this one is an awesome 64k intro! Truly nice colors and I loved the transition scenes. Also aperfect beat control that rotates the things around. Keep making stuff like this, please.

!!! iZ3D-Anaglyph 3D-Driver compatible !!!
(just requires DirectX and some red/cyan-"glasses" - that's it and it's freeware !)

In real 3D even a greater experience !
