ouch!
the rgb split is not unique, many demos did that at the time, but it removes nothing to the wow effect of this puppy

great
Hi, I wrote this. :-D

I made this using a combination of plasma, convolution, feedback, and diagonal rgb striping. It's called "plas9" because I have several other unreleased versions (maybe 10 more).

The original resolution was not 320x200, it was a 128x256 expanded to a fake 320x400 or similar, by tiling. I don't know any other demo that used that video mode trick (of making the RAM line length smaller than the visible scanline's number of pixels).

The plasma part uses the same sine generator as Sqwerz3. That sine generator works using a double recurrence equation somewhat similar to Bresenham's circle algorithm.

I was 18.
