a standart haujobbdemo featuring a
nice tune by radix!
rulez added on the 2002-04-01 23:20:48 by cer cer
the same.
over again.
this time a bit uglier than i'm used to from hjb.

not much of a demo, dont expect no stunning techniques, but a brilliant tune and cool design makes it an eyecatcher. style counts !
added on the 2002-04-01 23:47:56 by dipswitch dipswitch
the style is not as good this time as it has been before, actually
added on the 2002-04-01 23:56:12 by cp_ cp_
Yes, this does look a bit different than the usual haujobb, and I like it. Seems to be a slight step forward in the evolution of their more typical demo style. A little less chrome and a little more colour. Works for me.

Thank you haujobb, for assraping and short-editing a really nice tune from Radix.

The rest is the same old stuff: Meshes rotating, slightly less pretty backgrounds this time. Not recommended for Radix lovers.

I do have a feeling the tune was somewhat wasted too.
could've been much nicer..

im getting bored of this same stuff. radix tune was too nice for this stuff..
ehm, well... how can this be STYLISH? havent we seen like millions of this? and its still STYLISH? oh well.. then that sucks stuff i pressed isnt for only this demo but for you to aswell :)
sucks added on the 2002-04-02 18:07:50 by Hatikvah Hatikvah
The most utterly crappiest production from MS2002 party. I found e.g. even the goyave_fruit much more amusing and entertaining than this megapack of boreness. I think they didn't even change anything but textures and some of the models (not even all) compared to some of their latest demos. They probably used something like a hour or two to put this up.

They didn't deserve the fourth place and the only reason why they're so high up instead of being on place 41 is namevoting and the fact that haujobb is so big group that they could vote their demo much higher by just voting themselves. I hope that the day of HJB quitting the scene would be close. Unfortunately that's not going to happen very soon I'm afraid. :-[

could be better, i think ELEMENTS is the best Haujobb-demo ever seen!
added on the 2002-04-02 21:06:45 by reaktor2k reaktor2k
boring. broing. seen in x*n hjb demos before
place 4 is really overrated, but due to nearly 50 entries in ms demo compo the results were more like namevoting anyways
oh, the music is nice btw, but that's all.

Haujobb seems to release alot of prods, but they are making the same demos over and over again it seems like. Its a boring demo.

I liked this one quite a lot actually - how can anyone get bored by that brilliant stuff from Visualize?
rulez added on the 2002-04-02 21:29:53 by odex odex
Music and graphics are nice but this seems quite unfinished. nice that the style is different than in previous haujobb demos. I'm waiting for a longer final version with something else than just rotating objects.
rulez added on the 2002-04-02 23:06:58 by dodke dodke
Dr Stranger, why shoudl Hjb have to quit the scene to make you happy? Wouldn't it make more sense just to stop downloading Haujobb demos?

Or maybe it's actually the unreachable standards you want to eliminate.
rulez added on the 2002-04-03 00:49:09 by Wade^Hjb Wade^Hjb
LOL Wade That was a joke, right? :)

Unreachable standards regarding this demo would be the ability to rotate a mesh, display some crypic texts here and there, recycle an old tune and don't forget to paste your name all over the place. This demo wouldn't be rated this high if it didn't have the HJB moniker attached to it.

drstranger needs to lay off the paranoia though ;)

Dr. Stranger: What an interesting idea! We are already discussing about quitting the scene after your suggestions... We'll keep you informed, mate!
added on the 2002-04-03 07:33:00 by chromag chromag
this looks like it was done in a hurry. unfinished parts, bad cameras, no effects and doesn't really fit that well to the music.
waiting for the final version...

Thx to all for the interesting Ideas, especially to Dr.Stranger. Yes, it's better we quit the scene and just concentrate more on boozing instead of releasing something for the scene and waste YOUR time. OFFICIAL NOTICE ::: http://213.15.136.41/haujobb/

hey guys come on, given the content this demo was nice imo. visualice gfx and radix music, atleast it was enjoyable to hear/watch.

one thing that puzzles me though, why use previously released radixtunes when you have perfectly cool musicians like jazz on your team? (just a thought)

so next party you attend, please take your time to give shock to european brain, and let jazz work the tracker/sequencer
added on the 2002-04-03 09:35:40 by jelly jelly
thx a lot stellan! i partied together with visualize on mekka symposium and i'm surely about to work on something new soon. radix is a very good friend and we just love his tunes. its perfect for visualize's own unique demostyle and either you guys out there like it or not, but it's his style to do the things and he is a workaholic like i know no other.

This Haujobb demo is clean. Perhaps not very impressive but clea and nice. Demo is not only code and new-technology, it's a lot of thing. Haujobb can do better, but this isn't the ugliest prod from mekka.
added on the 2002-04-03 11:24:21 by jb jb
this is basically the same hjb-demo as every hjb-demo nowadays..
where did the NEW ideas hjb once had go to?
it is clean.. it is done well.. it features nice gfx..
but we had that "same" demo about 6 times now.. sorry..

Hmmm. little unfinished...using same blooby objects like in Elements....seems to be done in a very hurry...Haujobb roxxx but this is only an OK prod, nothing more....nice tune by Radix
some people just can't stop complaining... even with a finished demo engine, i know it still takes lots of work to do the music, grafix and the 3d-objects. kudos to haujobb!
rulez added on the 2002-04-06 12:03:40 by bartman bartman
The music of Radix is good.
A design is stylish.
However, though sorry, the development in respect of a code is not seen.
And It seemed that there was no new idea.
Sorry...:)

P.S.
It is very sorry that you leave a scene. LoL
added on the 2002-04-07 07:34:12 by got got
hehehe, if someone is really interested in respect of code, I could reveal you lots of new effects which you could find by editing the script.

but then again I would not have any respect for such a person who idioticly is from -80's and respects hard work on code instead of hard work on design.

I like HJB ! I like Channel5 ...
HJB is the most constant group i've seen in the scene ...
Their demos are repeating over and over ??? nope, they just stick to their vision of Demo-Style ...

Respect/Don't Quit
rulez added on the 2002-04-07 11:50:54 by kohai kohai
yes it all looks nice, but it plain disappoints me (and others) that there are no effects. this isn't any more than normal, since that's what demos were about, in the beginning. i agree that design became much more important over the days.. but hey a few hardcoded effects here and there to give it a cooler look couldn't hurt right?

ahwell.
just my opinion.

And it is sure that it has led to the good result. Therefore, I will raise the thumb upwards!!!
rulez added on the 2002-04-07 21:32:56 by got got
I have to thumb up this demo for the music, which OWNS. Radix is God.

Other than that, it's the same Finnish-section style, done ultra-fast because they apparently need as much precious drinking time as possible :). But hey, at least they have (er, had :( ) a style, many groups don't even get that far.

I never even read all of drstranger's comment above. Just be careful what you say, dude. I wonder if we'll even get a final version now.. they could at least have the right demo name in the setup window. :)

Very nice music and colors, the artwork is excellent and the design 'politically correct'. I was not impressed though, mainly because Haujobb style is not really my cup of tea.

But someone has to 'negate' those thumb downs. I mean, it's nice to be able to play Ceasar with just a few clicks, huh? Yeah, it's all fun and games until some group starts even considering leaving the scene.
rulez added on the 2002-04-08 06:53:49 by moT moT
funnystuff, I almost feel I can make a difference as a one person!

Maybe I should try to recommend some other groups too to quit scene to see if this works.

Stv: Didn't know the goyave_fruit was done with Alambik but I think that's just okay. This hjb demo also uses readymade demo engine (recycled stuff from Elements). The goyave_fruit feels having much more time devoted for _that_ production, not feeling like some recycled quick-pile-it-up one. Also even some hjb dude said that it is more about design than just code nowadays, and in that context it should not even matter if the base for the demo is some ready made system. (Doomsday should release their dsys for win?)

Surely you hjb guys and others dis some others demos too so why can't you take some too?

But imho it is better that some hjb members found new groups, they will get better stuff made in those.
drstranger, enjoy this moment as long as you can.
added on the 2002-04-08 19:23:21 by jazz jazz
sincerely, much much more sinkro could be done with the Yuki Satellites Tune, the demo feeling is quiet, but the tune demands more, it seems like mosaik,moments...but elements was your best recent prod, in my opinion, you should continue in the line of Mikkrostrange, that was awesome.

Sorry guys. Looks good (overall), but nothing new here. Just the same old over-and-over "Haujobb"-Style objects. *yawn*
for the moment it's the best demo i've seen from mekka, the radix's music is beautiful, for the rest, it's an haujobb like ( visualice style ) not bad ... but become boring now !
It's so bad if haujobb really quit the scene, because it was the only group who are still doing some good stuffs !

shash: IMO it is wrong to state that the style is similiar to "all the demos of haujobb", since I think visualice have been directing the Haujobb PC demos only since 2000, and Haujobb was formed in 1994 or so...

Great music. As for the visuals, time hasn't been kind to it although Visualice style is always a treat.

Clean looking abstract visuals. It's a production that's nice to watch even after several years.

Circuits running at the speed of hesitation
I can only tell you about the past I used to adore
Missing piece from the puzzle of relationships

I keep looking
don't worry
I will find you
While I keep dreaming
I keep waiting

I hope it won't start from beginning
I need to build something
Something that is timeless
At the face of a clock

To move on
Is not the direction I desire
A shape that fills my heart

I can only hope
That I could be whole
