Very simple effects (and some of them are very ugly) and highly annoying music. Ok to watch once.

Rather cute :) Especially the recursive cube. I've always loved those.

The Big Bang theory with the famous charset =) Cool tune that match it. Kind of sad mood in this prod compare your other demos.

A demo with some substance and great tune. It is designed well and has a soul.

Ok, you have improved your code a little bit...
now, please, take your time and also improve the design.
GP2X deserves good demos and this one is slow, simple, don't have a good music, and even is very ugly in some scenes (not all, fortunately, there are a few almost OK).
Sorry, but I have to said it.
However, I will rate this with a pig because at last you've made some improvements (but not in optimizing your routines, dear Optimus) and you are supporting one of my favourites consoles.
Please, next time add volume controls... the GP2X has volume buttons, so why not use it?
And no... there is no need of release something if you can wait for the next party and release something better.
I have a demo for GP2X on the way. I almost release it at BP2007. ;)

@ham: Well, that's the most interesting comment because there is a lot of text and good criticism to read and I agree about most of them :)

Some parts are indeed too slow on the real thing (especially when I have to do box blur in two scenes and crossfade between them at between the last two parts :P Oh, and the 3d blobs, I am not sure why they look slower and uglier than in Led Blur but I had no time to fix this too :) and even if I tried to optimize some parts of it, I didn't managed much and there was no time. With more time I'd try more things and fix these issues.

And unfortunatelly I am also using HW_SURFACE on the GP2X SDL which is doing fast blitting with the hardware capabilities of GP2X, BUT it also needs SDL_DOUBLEBUF or else there is flickering. But the SDL_DOUBLEBUF also vsyncs which is either good or bad (because in some parts, e.g. the rotozoomer when 3 types of filtering are appearing, the framerate suddenly drops to the half (and I didn't use a timer but instead increased an integer as the timer for the zoomrotation by one and that gave me a smoother rotozoomer at times :P). Anyways,. there are so many things I have to do it in another way for the next release (and maybe also move away from SDL and do it the low level so I can have more control on some things I can't now)

Sometimes I feel the urge to release for some demoparties and only find the mood to do so few weeks/days before the deadline. And somehow I had to to support our only greek demoparty :)

And the volume control. I always think of that and it's nothing hard to do, but always forget it. Next time I'll fix it..

Optimus, I was so glad to see you made it with a demo to the demoparty - therefore here's one more thumb showing upwards!

Nice one. You have made better fastproductions but I still enjoyed it.

i like the music and the effects.. there are some nice transitions also. but it's damn slow in some places. for instance, the moving average filter. the bilinear rgb filtering was cool (of course can be faked like hell, but that also rules). on a bit more mature platform it would be a piggy. but gp2x demoscene is still young and this is one of the better releases for sure. cheers optimus.

ham: looking forward to seeing that ueber demo of yours.. you better live up to the hype now. ;)

Sorry bout that. The demoscene.gr administration is missing and the server is down for two months I think. I have started making my new site at [url=http://optimus.freeshell.org] and will be moving my demos and complete new website there too. Atm, both the Win32 and GP2X version of this demo must be at scene.org ftp in Pixelshow releases.

Quite slowpaced and terrible music. Platform and doom texture save it from a thumb down.

Doesn't run properly (very slow and no music) on F-100 firmware 2.1.2.
