Nice to see again 5 years old effects on another platform? :) Naeh, just kidding. It's great to see Suckho doing stuff again and even if there's some recycled stuff this demo is so nice to watch that I don't mind at all. A worthy winner.

extremely good prod (although we've seen the 2d-distortion done in two earlier byterapers prods, but what the heck.. :), worthy winner!

A great prod. Nice to see Byterapers and Doomsday release top stuff in 2002. Before this one I was sure Perkele plus would win, but not long after Limbo had begun I knew Excess stood no chance.

the standard of the releases from both halves is high and this prod doesn't lessen it at all.
loved it, rez!

Fine demo but effects look like they are mostly recycled from five year old demos and intros.
recycled fx, nice demo, butl perkeleplus was still better..

Exelent production. Niice music, smooth graphics, slick 3d, arrogant quote... nothing is missing! I simply love this!

DiamonDie: of SL45i can't compete with 206 mhz ;)

I wish I could have seen it in the mobile, but if the PC version rules then this one too :)

Love this one, the pocketpc needs more demos.

Recycled effects, but nice nevertheless. Is there a single piece of code in this not seen before?

This one really ROCKS! As Jak said before, the PPC platform is the ideal one for back2theroots demos...i LOVE the music on this one!

And the greetings: Cascada, Triton, Future Crew...those were the times!

It runs very smoothly on my Viewsonic V35 (Xscale 300 Mhz),even with the CPU sets in 'low perf' (200 Mhz) mode.

Great! Byterapers+Doomsday Rulez.

WTF?! this rules! solid stuff. minor downpoints are the boring twistscroller and the envmap object in front of 2d backdrops. i've seen those too many times. the credits and the water screen rule hard! the graphics are good (although the video is low quality). music could be a bit more 'pronounced'.

one could get nasty and say that in 98/99 loads demos like this were done on P1 / P2 as well.. but that would still be easier than doing it on a pocketpc i guess.

Woot? boring twistscroller? There's no such thing as boring twistscrollers! They all rock! :)

Today I got a brand new HTC P3600 smartphone with Windows Mobile 5 to my hands and tried to run Limbo on it thinking it surely won't work. I was surprised that it even installed, but then was I was really amazed that it ran 100% perfectly and smoothly! 5 years ago built software for few generations older mobile platform.. M$ has done something right!

If you have some of these smart phones, give it a try. It looks a lot better on actual mobile device than on PC. That is how it was meant to be experienced!

I must have been really shitted as i have no memory at all of seeing this prod or even the whole mobile compo at asm02, but now that i look at it, i find it very enjoyable. certainly better than many modern pocketpc prods.
rulez added on the 2007-08-16 11:10:07 by piksi piksi
Nice coding and gfx, but the music isn`t the best choice. Still rocks.

Suckho, m$ never done it right, the demo itself was so well written instead :)))

I develop for Windows Mobile devices here at work and so I've tried it on many different devices and so long as your running a 240 x 320 screen... it will work on WM 5 and 6 devices!

Really loved the coding in this demo!
