Would be even cool if the layers were getting darker and darker or used slightly different colors like in sqwerz3 which was release one year before.

Hi, this is the author of sqwerz3. This effect was plagiarised from sqwerz3. If you look at the binary files, they have a long string of bytes in common. Basically, Shock took sqwerz3 and removed the palette code so that instead he could fit a string telling his lie.
