Once again I totally failed. Once I again I decided to enter a limited size competition because "with less space I'll be done earlier". With 10974 lines of final code, this became the largest project I've ever had so far - once again :-). All packed into 16k together with 2 girls, funky music by 505 and a 70'ies Disco font by OOZ giving 7 minutes of effects. Fun fact: The original of the KickStart ending screen was coded 21 years ago to the day - back in 1991 on my Amiga 500 in my teenage room.

The video mode of the demo totally lives up to having a real Atari and classic TV set. Altirra and video is OK, youtube suxx.

The download archive contains a pre-configured Altirra emulator for non-Atarians. So at least on Windows you can run the demo simply be running "RGBA.bat". No further installation required.

Lots of impressive effects (AFAICT), good music. It runs a bit long though. Thumbup overall.

Ouch! :) It's 3rd JAC! contribution for SV event since 2010 ! And 3 times placed 1st! :) XL/XE demo in 2010, A2600 demo in 2011 and XL/XE 16kb intro in 2012 ! Just AMAZING! :)

Best congrats, JAC!

Update:
- Right channel now properly works on stereo-upgraded hardware
- Special version of Altirra included with can run without ATARIXL.ROM, thanks phaeron
- Proper 50 FPS capture on capped.tv

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

@Grey: Man, how can you reveal my strategy of "Enter the compo where they don't expect you".
It would be been such an easy victory for me on Atari ST next year.
@Hopper: How come I'm asked the question so frequently recently?
@Blueberry/d0DgE: And did you hear the DF0: clicking for a disk? It took 1 day to free enough bytes :-)

I like the tune and some effects. It keeps reusing the same women! It's OK.

There were more but it's an entry for the 16k (!) competition and the two already plus the tune already take up 14k, that's why.
added on the 2012-12-15 20:25:53 by JAC! JAC!
I was sooo looking for Boost tune on Atari. Maybe we can fix this JAC? :D Otherwise amazing as always.

This would have been a piggie for the reason Orion_ mentioned. This however:

transforms mrs. pigge to a thumb up. :) That's dedication and it also sounds sooo familiar. Size coding, heaven and/or hell. :D
rulez added on the 2012-12-18 18:35:40 by StingRay StingRay
Thanks Stingray! Actually I'll release a fast mix of the demo soon, as I did with Silly Things. During the creation phase I always skipped the parts that were already done during testing. That definitely was a bad idea - When when I had all parts finished I simply had not enough time to re-sync.
added on the 2012-12-18 19:09:22 by JAC! JAC!
Sounds somewhat familiar too. :D Guess coding 1 effect Amiga bootblock intros can be an advantage sometimes. :D
added on the 2012-12-18 19:22:08 by StingRay StingRay
too long, but still:

Limited to 16K - If you can do better, you are not a programmer - you have to be a wizard!
Maybe you can conjure some stereo effects ;-)

This one is excellent. Ha! Doomsday's gals, great colors, even moving, funky tune (kinda too repetitive thou), good charset!
Even a notorious and infamous Amiga floppy drive clicking is heard (althou I have not measured whether the frequency is the correct one ;).

Great show, especially at the party =).
