Didn't like the song at all, but the video was totally awesome for a "self-made" music video.

now how "self-made" is this video actually? is it commercial work?

according to the homepage:

Quote:
Shot entirely on greenscreen and featuring 4:30 min. of 3D, Compositing and VFX work.
Not an easy task, especially since I was doing everything by myself: Director / DP / Edit / CGI / VFX / Colorgrading

the music is not that outstanding but the video is actually pretty demoish and nice :D

I liked the music for what it was (pop/rock) and the visual was massive - but then, it was a really good compo this year.

How did this not win? Totally awesome visuals how cheesy and not my favourite the music might ever be :)

People probably didnt vote for it, because they thought it was a professionally made music video with a budget to promote the band - and it would run on television anyway and get public awareness - while the other productions in this category wont have that luxury.

maybe we should invest more money in our prods

I admit the production here is commercial quality, probably took months of labour to make it, and it probably should have won the compo.

On the other hand, for me it's just too much wannabe linkin park and just doesn't do anything emotionally.

Anyways, thumbs up for the madskillz quality.

impressive tech. i still can't belive this is not a professional million dollar video.
maybe it was just looking too professional for people to vote for it, but it should've been in top3 imho.

Yeah, stunning video, music not my taste. Would still have voted it highly had I been there, assuming I knew it wasn't commercial (because it definitely looks it).

Here's a "behind-the-scenes" video I found quite interesting
