I just get a static screen of some purple stuff with no music.
added on the 2013-04-06 17:19:42 by fizzer fizzer
i got the first scene and music but has it, you have to check the music box o_O

synth sounds nice and dirty though
ah ok, seems the tg orga's uploaded the placeholder in the composystem, not the "finished" party version that was shown on the screen. Fixing.

Funny, if I run the demo on my intel gpu, I get a 1 color demo ! Synth is pretty kick ass.

You guys always deliver the designgasms, ace style, again. Actually, you make the demos I'd love to make, if I'd had that skill. Have to find a way to slow you guys down,- hmmm - remember how much you like to play WoW - yeah - why not start it again? j/k ^^

The only critics I have is, that the intro and outro scene could have used more AA to smooth that sexy font :)

Blank screen and music (ATI)

No PC, no video, no demo :( But ferris' soundtrack is great, thumb up just for that. Great sounding synth too :)

Oooh, nice Ferris :) Sounds really great.
rulez added on the 2013-04-08 12:21:10 by raizor raizor
the thumb goes for the synth quality; the music itself sounded a bit too familiar and the visuals have a serious problem of not knowing what to show for how long.

kickass tune! the first half was nice, too. but with the blue dot-sphere just sitting around it's kinda boring during the second half.

Thumb for music and synth! Got the 1 color demo here though... AMD 4890.

could have been really cool with moar sync :D.

The synth is awesome.
I watched your conference @ TG and the approach is cool, especially taking advantage of the DAW project files.
Of course I suppose it had been quite painful to riveurs enjienr those, but for the end-musician it's perfect.
Also we can imagine that you could ""easily"" integrate instruments/effects made by others sceners...

Do you plan to release it publicly?
rulez added on the 2013-04-12 12:56:09 by wullon wullon
@wullon: Glad you like it :)

As for the approach, I'd like to first point out that I didn't come up with this, really. Gargaj's synth does exactly the same thing, but using Buzz, so his modules have Buzz machine interfaces rather than VST plugs like mine. I believe Blueberry's 4k synth also does something similar, but with Renoise.

As far as reverse-engineering the formats went, it was actually pretty straightforward, as Live uses xml and Reaper uses something very xml-like, so it was just tedious trial-and-error. There are maybe 1-2 bugs still left in the Live converter/parser, because the way it handles clips of notes is a bit odd.. but that will be fixed when I feel like it :) .

yeah, it's quite modular, so it would likely be quite easy to add say, a Visual Studio project template for a basic plug into the mix, making it even easier to add devices.

I may or may not ever release it publicly, and here's my thoughts about it:
1. Would be cool to see people using it, but
2. I like being exclusive with it :)
3. I'm a bit sour with how "big" 4klang has gotten, in a way where I feel it's too easy to pick up 4klang and crinkler and do a raymarching 4k these days. Not to bash the tool at all (it sure as hell beat my 4k synth attempts), but something about me hates the idea of something similar happening with 64k.
3. If I do release it, it will be in 1-2 more years. Still a couple stability issues (improper handling of denormals, for instance), and I would like to do proper documentation before release, which is, well, a stretch to say the least :)

nice music but got only a white screen, tried both 720p and 1080p on nvidia gtx1066. i know it's useless to wait a fix 7 years after the release but anyway
