I remember this being somewhat difficult to run..? Anyway, it rules.

Feels a bit like Dream by Jamm (probably because Mordicus made the music for both demos and seemed to have borrowed a bit from himself :-), but with more colors :-)

Smooth effects, don't like the music.

Pandemic featured in this "The Forgotten Pearls of Demoscene" article. BTW, I didn't write a single line of code for Pandemic. It was coded by MrSex, Sivu, and Lanttu.

nice
A mixed bag for me. Some good looking effects (dat underwater scene), nice touches with design and sync, but also too much of those filler tunnels and random colours. The music also got quite bland and repetitive after the promising intro. Definitely not the best mid-90s (B) prod but enough for a thumb up.

Nice saturday evening int the bar and later in the "morning" talking about demos with Pete/FIT on IRC came up with Pandemic. This was our 2nd attempt on PC after Drill Me, this time we had more crew and I was a huge fan of Mordicus sountracks (Jamm and Coma demos) and after long talk in some random BBS (or IRC, can't remember the details) he agreed to join our ranks. Soundtrack he produced was amazing! I was studying in Raahe but I rented an apartment in Iisalmi for the summer and week before Abduction 1997 we gathered with the full crew on my place and started hammering this one together. Few beers were consumed but mostly we dedicated for the demo. Come friday afternoon we're in a hurry finalizing the compo version so we can start out ~200km journey to Oulu. One part was still missing but we did that on Mysdee's place near the partyplace. I had to drive to Oulu and everyone started drinking - more they opened them bottles, more I pressed pedal to the metal. Nearing Oulu speed was something close to ~150-170km/h and ppl paused their drinking - they were afraid to die : D When we arrived to party place Mr.Sex got out, opened the trunk for more beers and puked for both sides of the car at the same time :> Lot of boozing happened and somewhere between the good times Sivu and others went to Mysdees place and did the final (greetings) part. IMO this is the one of the masterpieces of our 90s DOS era, I'm especially proud for Mr.Sexs voxel scene (in 2:10) and I absolutely love Mordicus soundtrack. I wonder how he's doing nowdays? Anyone? Still amuses me how Sivu made the sync for falling blocks.. /Mikron
