Good stuff :)
And for a change, the oldschool effects actually look good + run smooth - even the scroller!!!
Tunes seem pretty good too, only listened to the first few so far tho.
Only complaint is that the scroller at the bottom is too small in window mode, and scrolls backwards.
Oh yes, and the window is set to allways on top, which is annoying if you're working. But it can be made small enough to not matter too much :)

Good work anyway, just don't make us wait 6 years for the next one!

supergreat... astonishing... the best chipdisk since these last years
rulezadded on the 2003-07-21 14:10:04 by spengler spengler
I like it, my only rant would be that the logo should have been handpixeled with an indexed palette from the beginning rather than reducing the colors of a truecolor picture.
rulezadded on the 2003-07-21 14:13:58 by a_lee_n a_lee_n
Another nice chipmusicdisk. I'd almost give a 'rulez', but I rather reserve that for that very special moment when a musicdisk comes out that's at least slightly innovative ;)

I don't think the pastel colours of the logo really match everything else that is going on but I really like the tunes.

I love the logo, seen the code be4, but very cool and some nice tunes! :)

anyone found my hidden song yet? =)
windowed mode does not function here, bottom scroller way to small, logo a little ugly, and a one pixel wide flickering border on top and left side.

BUT: very good tunes, super cool oldschool effects!
rulezadded on the 2003-07-21 19:57:58 by oner oner
this is an azzkicker... great oldschool effects, good tunes.
Maybe a bit too resource hungry to run it as background noise-source...

the first one who finds it will get, eh, hm, dunno, somethin? =) whos your favourite blue android with a gun on his arm?
some nice tunes in here. the logo is cool too, but i don't fancy those effects all that much (except for those nice retro text-popup-ones).

I hate it when the clue is about something I've never heard of... And the hidden song was not so good as some of the others I thought too!

Still, the pack as a whole still rocks so i'll let you off ;)

quite cool production
rulezadded on the 2003-07-24 12:09:05 by NuKem NuKem
There seems to be a bug in windows mode, the window disapears or goes gray sometimes, normally when I use another window, then click on the player window. The music continues, and if I select it in the task list, I can still change tracks etc, and alt-enter works. Going to full-screen and back to window mode fixes it.

Windows XP SP1, geforce 4 mx (latest detmonator drv)

"U need .... and a 3d video card"
and then even dx8.

And for what?

Sorry.
But this simply derserves the thumb down.

ahh.. I see, Z Buffered raster bars. I really wonder how C-64 or Atari ST coders managed to do the same effect on their machines.
(I hope you catched the irony..)

Are the ziks available separately ?

Nice one !
rulezadded on the 2003-08-02 21:54:45 by analogue analogue
say defjam, you're souch a fucking loser. as if anybody cares about the common sense of rasterbar implementation. i had a few words in another thread here regarding shortsightedness of utterly stupid sceners, regardless of age or experience, and you absolutely 100% match the picture.

yeah, go ahead, just ignore this production because it uses modern technology. shithead :) haha..
added on the 2003-08-02 22:20:41 by superplek superplek
that's such instead of souch, and no, i'm not defending the code's quality in particular :)
added on the 2003-08-02 22:21:13 by superplek superplek
sure.
you seem quite aged and experienced concerning your style of typing.

is that all you've got to say, you swashbuckling oldschoolist? stick that irony up your ass.

sorry, I really couldn't resist. :)

Ok.. now go and try some extremely newschool rasters with DirectX or openGL.

The joke's on you, boy.

added on the 2003-08-03 00:35:02 by defjam defjam
i'm not sure if you noticed, but the traditional raster effect is interpreted as 'ugly' by a vast majority of people. and if calling me 'boy' like a texas punk makes you feel good, go right ahead. i'll be in peace with the idea that you never got any further than telling off productions for absolutely stubborn reasons. good day to you, dear sir.

super nice.
I'm not found of the logo, but the fx are well done, I like the backward scrolltext and of course the musics are pretty good too
rulezadded on the 2006-05-16 21:30:34 by p01 p01
The logo doesn't fit, the tunes are average but hell, this rocks. Seeing that writer originally made by Corsair on Amiga and all the other classic effects just rocks. Though, some of them don't really fit since they are not oldschool at all. Anyway, it rocks!
