I wish the font was readable (at least in the note). But I guess that was not the point anyway.

Trivia Info
Submitted by Twoflower on 28 February 2005
The Voice of Saruman.

"Another voice spoke, low and melodious, its very sound an enchantment. Those who listened unwarily to that voice could seldom report the words that they heard; and if they did, they wondered, for little power remained in them. Mostly they remembered only that it was a delight to hear the voice speaking, and all that it said seemed wise and reasonable, and desire awoke in them by swift agreement to seem wise themselves." (J.R.R Tolkien)

incredibly clean and polished. i just would have wished for a more non-standard tune that could have contributed more to the wonderful atmosphere of the demo

Great design!
Boring music.
The screenshot is the weakest part of the demo.

tomaes, you can read the text in the note using a machine code monitor, and also some texts in the demo. its partly about certain fairlight members stealing the throckmorton concept and using it in 'we control'

I liked the demo that came 2nd more. This one has barely any effects and is smaller. The start is cool and the ending too (I love those radial antenna waves), but there are no effects. I preety loved the idea of a demo with an "alien" fontset, like it tries to transmit (that's where the antenna comes :) a message to be understood by the few of the watchers or something. That's how I get the message..

To add:

Actual design with an invented alphabet, iconography with very well thought-out color scheme, moody soundtrack and very good technological prowess. One of my favorite demos ever.
