Hope doing an fft every 10 frames doesn't make it too slow. We couldn't find anything slower than an AMD 800 :)
Anyway, Omega's tunes rock so I dare to comment on the prod ;)

Selfvoting sucks :)

First of all, selfvoting sucks.. thats why i thumb downed this one... okay, the musicdisk is overall okay, still the colors used in the visiualizer is terrible. nothing more to the interface. the music is original, strange, dont know either if its good or bad. But as i said overall okay musicdisk.

well guys, this in NO voting system, it is a comments base!!! so it is rather ok to comment it positive if you like it (even if it's your own work)

so come back to what this forum is here: COMMENT the stuff and not other ppl's views...

yeah... do it like reebok said... :)

Even if is better to not vote yourself, i don't think that you're doing something very bad if you're doing it.

And in order to vote... i liked this :)
it has good (but, as cD_ sayd, strange) music. Anyway i think that is a must download :)

Btw, about the speed, ok the graphics goes a bit slow here, 7-8 fps on my PMMX200, but anyway this is not a demo but a musicdisk, and that what matters most is the music. The effect is always the same... but the music rulez :)

Really nice, even though it eats up too much CPU power.

(And I agree with ReeBok, really stupid to thumb down (or up) a prod because of someone else's comment.)

to my ears the music is rather mediocre - at best. Besides the music, I wonder why this requires directx 8.1 - the effect could easily be done in software(i bet the init/setup code for direct 3d is longer than the actual effect-code would be in software).

Learn to sleep in your mainloops in processes that doesnt need 100% cpu, PLEASE :)

waiting for final ;-)

i don't like the music, but that's my taste... the interface is ok, althought the music "bumping" of the background is pretty bad done.

I'd have left the modules available to listen on your favourite tracker, and not having to use this one

Well sorry to say this but at least its the most boring musicdisk i have seen in 15 years. Nothing to read, nothing to see. I'd rather have a winamp plugin on instead.
It could go on the background, but its hogging so much cpu that this isnt an option. As it comes to music, haven't heard them all yet but in general not bad. nice try

guys, i don't like giving negative criticism,
BUT
apart from the music being even less than mediocre (don't you hear the instruments being off-tune sometimes? or is that fmod? why don't you use bass anyway?) the names are the worst act of creativity i have seen in a LONG time. the machine, the sphere, the dream...
say, can't you think of ANYTHING more interesting and innovative?

oh god.

I like the neat interface. It's really a nice one.
From the musical point of view, there is nothing that makes me wanna hear one of those tunes again...

that musickdisk refuses to work here. i get a nifty 'musicdisk.exe hat fehler verursacht und wird geschlossen.' error everytime i want to start it.

no luck running here either :(

"The instruction at "0x00404de9" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read"."

ouch, looks like its trying to access a NULL pointer somewhere.

I'm sorry to say that a fix can not be expected before saturday as neither me nor EvilOne are having access to the source before that day.
I'm agreeing that probably CPU should not be stressed when the interface is not visible so this will be changed too.
I don't see a problem in using DirectX for the disc as this component can be regarded standard.
We tested the disc on win 98,2k and xp on at least 7 different machines. Unfortunately this seemed not enough so please accept our apologies, sorry for the inconvenience :(

Try on one without a 3d card..

as far as I know, the whole thing should work fine, if you got DirectX 8.1 installed!

for those who want to see an error message that they should install DX8.1 instead of a crash: get http://speckdrumm.schlucken.org/Release/md1_exepatch.zip
