apple Iphone

i was kinda too irritated to continue listening to jobs' bullshit at the point when he claimed most people don't know how to store phone numbers on their phones.
The whole phone isn't that bad though. I'm sure it's music and video playback is way better than in any other phone out there but other than that it's nowhere near being as revolutionary as they claim.

Well, overpriced has always been Apple's middle name. And they keep doing it since people f*cking pay what they charge.

Bah, what's all the fuzz about? I still have a good, ole Nokia 3310 at home. It has a display, keys and everything. Oh, and you can dial it, too. ;)

I'm not impressed with the phone for a few reasons...
1.) Very little known about it
2.) 4 and 8 GB is supposed to replace an iPod? iPods have up to 80 GB.
3.) So many features; I'm wondering if all of them have really had thought put into them.
4.) I consider Mac OS X to be the computing environment that comes with Aqua and Finder and The Dock, so apparently this isn't Mac OS X, and it's apparently not being treated as such. In that case, it's really not so much a handheld computer as an oversized phone+PDA.

I'm also somewhat amused that one of the new LG chocolate phones looks almost exactly like it. Then again, it doesn't have that magic Apple on it.

I dunno, I realized it had only one (apparently) button, and it reminded me of someone (somewhere) who'd said that the ultimate goal Apple was striving for was an interface with, say, a single button.

Well, there you go.

Oh, @Dodke: Yeah, I know how to store phone numbers, but I have to go through so many menus and then remember to save what you typed into the account (don't ask me why, but I keep thinking logically it should realize I want to save the thing I've just spent a half a minute hunting and pecking to enter)... fortunately I only need to do it once, I guess.

Those four (especially 3 - it automatically switches mode when it's horizontal?), and this:

5.) Price is absurd.
6.) Interface looks terrible.
7.) No tactile feedback at all on button presses, and only a sales pitch to determine if the touch screen input is reliable and comfortable.
8.) Most likely terrible battery life.

But most importantly, the thing that excludes the iPhone from 99% of the potential uses it could have had otherwise:

9.) Closed platform.

Yeah, Apple really blew it there, seriously.

Nice logic.
