He must have taken the plane there.
Usually, norwegian sceners get sick on the boat!

Or become french!! we only work 7,20h a day.

You know, you arrive at the office, have a chat with your mates regarding easter weekend, have a coffee, turn on your computer, check ur emails and your voicemails, have another coffee, answering some emails, having a lunch (we are in France so having a lunch means something), have a chat with your mates regarding next weekend, have a coffee, play with those funny java game you received this morning, do some work, reboot a server, do some work, have a coffee, have a chat with your mates, answer some phonecalls of the morning, switch off your computer, go back home after 7,20h of work and DOWNLOAD & WATCH ALL THOSE BP STUFF !!!

France is cool. France is love. Vive le camembert, Vive la Tour Eiffel.

not all french people are lazy bastards !
(should i double post this statement to make it clear ? :D)
I do that in Finland too but bastards here think it's somehow wrong. Laziness rules!

In France you just need to wear the right clothes, and to have the right papers / documents / anything-showing-that-you're-so-hard-at-work on your desk.

Nutman: He arrived by plane, yes. Actually his job is on a boat, so I don't think that would have been a problem anyhow :)

uhm... i was not a BP (nor has ever been, last foreign party I visited was M&S 2K1), but man, after reading this thread... if everything people has to discuss about after such a big party is smoking and healthy food, scamp (and the rest of organizers), you've done way too much of a great job here :)

I'd love to be there next year, but i still see it quite hard... life's not as easy as it was 6/7 years ago now :)

jcl, exactly, the organisers are doing hell of a good job. :)

jcl: *exactly*. they got almost everything right, so really we're just nitpicking now. and i think as a result some people are raising their expectations a little too high (healthy food, 24hrs/day? hmm) it's like 4k intros, i saw a recent complaint about the camera movement.. we've moved pretty far over the years!

I too got sick at the party (not caused by boozing). On Sunday night everything I had eaten just started coming out from both ends. Also my stomach started aching like hell. On Monday I couldn't eat anything - only drink a little water. Lost weight 7 kg though.

I think it was the food that was served at the beergarden, as I only ate some Ritter chocolate bars apart from currywurst and pizza. I didn't drink any alcohol in Sunday because I had to drive back to Finland on Monday.

Definitely something to do with the food.

I got that job.
Only, without all the work included - that sounds hard!

The weight loss indicates salmonella or campylobacter. What did you eat? Did other persons get sick from eating the same shit?
I think the organizers need to take stuff like this seriously in order to avoid possible disasters at future parties. A health certificate (and the will to live up to these standards while serving food at BP) should be mandatory if one is to set up a food stand at BP.
Or is that already a requirement?
