Is the Geforce 8500GT a final choice for the compo machine ?
It's a little weak if you compare with what's required to watch recent demos.
Of course, you might not want to get a high-end 8800GT that will cost too much (250 euros).
But a 7900 / 7800GT would be fairly better.

Talking about the OS from hell, Windows Fisting? Every new computer is haunted by this new system, and the funniest part is you cant unisntall it. I know someone who baught a new laptop and it had Vista on it, he couldnt even get rid of it. Even unistalling normal software was impossible. When he tried to install XP, the computer wasnt even starting anymore.
Dell is still providing computers with Windows XP.
