What was your first demo?

category: general [glöplog]
What was the first demo you saw?

I can't remember exactly remember what my first AMIGA Demo was, but it might have been RSI Megademo

My first PC demo was followed by [url=http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=462]Crystal dream II. These finally convinced me that good demos on PC were possible.

(And I saw State Of The Art before the PC demos)

My first was a demo of Vortex 42 in 1987. RSI Megademo I got from the hands of Delta before release on a copyparty in Holland. :)
Second Reality too, as better explained on the prod's page :)

i found final reality/remedy somewhere when i bought my first pc, then mental klutt/psikorp years later when i was able to realize what it was. then delilah/skim gave me some bookprint and a broken heart/replay and i began to follow the scene. after some coding trial'n'error i fell in love with ps but it was a non returned affection so i've became a depressed nuller.

Uhh.. If you don't count c64 crack intros, it must have been Techtech by Sodan and Magician 42

Reading the topic I first thought what was your first demo released. That would be in fact a lot more interesting to hear and encouraging for the newcomers as everyone has started somewhere - some with crappier stuff than the others. :) Everyone knows that half of the people have anyways seen either State of the Art or 2nd Reality as their first demo...

I'll start: Daemon by Acid Rain (Demolition '96) - a terrible terrible demo done by one ex-coder and bunch of newbies that had ambitious plans but no experience in how to achieve the end result. Fortunately this one isn't even added to Pouet... yet.

First released was this http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=18409. I like to think I've improved a little bit since then... :)

First one I saw was probably Union Demo or Decade Demo on Atari ST, but the one that actually got me interested in finding out more about the demoscene was fr-08, and for that it has my CDC (the only one. I wonder why it doesn't have more...).

I think my first was a Trilogy demo too, their megademo I think. Either that or IT megademo.

At home, I think at Ik+ by the Replicants on Atari ST http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=13431
