off topic: havoc, what makes you so pissed, lately?

why do people take their time on getting a softbox and flashes for making the photo of a product but can't get a correct DOF or even light measuring on them?

venomsoup: the (for me new) realisation that life is too short not to speak my mind, i guess... both postively and negatively. having quit smoking recently probably didn't do too much good either.

what I did, was to start smoking something... better :)

visy, i wish i could do that too... but tobacco and the better stuff are simply too much interweaved for me to quit smoking just one half of it at a time. with a pneumothorax less than 6 days behind me, it's not much of a choice unfortunately- either i quit completely cold turkey style, or i'll only have myself to blame for the next incident.

so now my life is free of smoking, alcohol and caffeine... but i don't worry- there's lot of recipes on the internet for consuming ganja in other ways than smoking, i guess i got some experimenting ahead of me ;)

back to the topic: this board doesn't have an AY or YM chip. I hope emulation is good. would like to hear it in real life.

With hardware like Beagleboard costing €130 this thing really needs to be cheap to be worth it. Rembember the economic crisis.

i'm with havok. it's no more exciting than an emulator and a lot more expensive and probably less effective.

btw, FPGA emulation isn't even proper emulation. Not in the same sense as, say, the the accurate process emulation of a "genuine" emulator such as MAME. FPGAs only _simulate_ system characteristics, mimicing time and response patterns - which makes them 10x lamer than many regular x86 emulators

Peta: You don't know what you are talking about, not at all. FPGAs simulate nothing, they implement a logical circuit equavalent of the hardware.

havoc: a friend of mine once told me that the best way he'd tried was to crumble it and stick it up his arse.. apparently the thc gets absorbed, and the rest comes out when it's ready. He was a serious pot head and knew his stuff, so I guess it must be true.

I tried eating it a few times before.. it works, but it's a bit unpredictable. Problem is, you want to get stoned now, so you eat some with something... but then nothing happens for a few hours. Then you need to do something important and suddenly you're wasted. I guess you can get the hang of it with some experimenting.

Both smash and reed really like it in cakes.

But eh, just crumbling it and sticking it up your arse doesn't sound like a very optimal way to do it. At the least it should be cooked in some oil or made into a liquid with some chemicals? The study where the quote is from just talked about THC so I guess they used Marinol or a similar product.

i just ate my 1st cannabutter & nutella sandwich... i am praying my cannabutter is strong enough, most recipes on the net expect you to use ounces of weed for a couple hundred grams of butter, but i had to scale it down quite a bit (it's not legal to buy/own more than 5gr, unfortunately) :/

concerning vaporizers, i've considered it, but i'm still kindof reluctant because it involves inhaling- which might be a lot less harmful than smoke inhaling indeed, but technically it's still reminding me of smoking too much. maybe it would be a good option in a few weeks, when all my craving for tobacco smoking has petered out- right now, the unknown is still a bit too risky for my taste ;)

about the "up the bum" option- the tissue down there is thin and filled with veins, pretty much like the gum, so i guess the effect is similar to "snus" (the swedish tobacco stuff that one should stick to their gum). so i thoroughly believe it can be functional... but hmm... i'm not sure about the social implications ;)
