From 1991 – 1993, O'Brien was a writer and producer for The Simpsons.
Something you have done appearing on tv is cool always, but I believe it would have been even cooler if they had mentioned the name of the game or the authors.

Did they at least contacted you to use it? If they did, great, if they didn't... that sucks so much.

In any case, I recommend you doing fast a website about it, "The Avatar game as Brian O'Conner wondered" with a link to the video and a download link.

Just to put my 2 cents, if you need free server space for that, just contact me (from my website contact form)... I can buy you a domain for that if you want to.

thegamethatwasfeaturedontheobrienshow.com?
WE NOW SET A NEW WORLDRECORD WITH 15 SECONDS OF PURE DEMOSCENE EXPOSURE
I think Conan should have used Penis Pong or Get Aids instead.

...aaand this is why demosceners don't write scripts for Conan O'Brien.

Im wondered, what would the Avatars makers think of this show? :)
Anyway I had no idea what cuased the surge in download since December 1. for a few days.
Yes, its fair use, I dont mind if they increase the popularity.

Aparently people found it within minutes of the show. Maybe from Avatar's forums?

there was a post on joystiq or kotaku about conans avatar-joke.
someone in the comments pointed out it was "some kind of freeware game" and put a link to it...

Did anyone check the credits at the end of that show? They usually flash all of that kind of information really fast during the closing credits, like where all of their footage comes from.

They probably tried out Sumotori and died laughing. Now they won't think anything ever again. How does that make you feel?

Is the dude really called O'Brien with an e? That sounds like McDonelds...
Anyways, seems to be good news for Archee, even if the guy used Sumotori in a derogatory context...

Doom: I think, the Avatar team is more concerned with their sales, than with sumotori.

Their product was deemed "crap" and "no refunds". The message comes across as for a simple game with expensive cut-scenes.
I cant decide, if the NBC show gave a positive or negative impact to Avatar sales.

As far as I know, the first 1k intros came out in cracked warez, and the demoscene started as a "crack-scene", which did not respect copyrights. Why do we suddenly care about copyrights? :)
