Logging into Pouet requires Web browsers' referrers?

category: general [glöplog]

Hello!

Why does Pouet's login requires referrers to be allowed?

Thank you in advance. :)

referrer is not mandatory but without it, you won't be properly redirected after logging in and most likely end up on a blank page.
Thanks Grimmy and yes, I do get a blank page. Sorry for the late reply.

Gargaj: Oh wow! Thanks!! :)

It would be nice if you can make and threading and e-mail notifications in the comments too.

lol, stupid me reported this as a compatibility bug against Opera some time ago :-)

Logged on in Opera (referrer disabled) , logged on in Firefox (referrer enabled), and used the Firefox console to copy out the request/response in combination with Opera's error message (malformed Location header).

Never heard back anything, guess now I know why :)

Heh, I had the same issue -the blank page- but I simply ignored it. I am browsing with Opera (and have been since version 3.54 or something, btw) with referrers disabled too.
Nice one Gargaj! :-)
