Why do ENGLAND still play football?

Money talks, particularly in England when it comes to football and the lack of abilities at international tournaments such as the World Cup. England need to have a good hard look at themselves and the organisation - rumours of our players being forced to play too many games and don't get a winter break like they do in other countries need to be believed and looked at closely by the establishment in order to make changes for the better.

Certainly on Sunday Germany were the better team overall as they've always tended to have the technical nous which our players/chavs do not have. Germany's players are the equivalent of university graduates who can actually think for themselves and as a team - unlike our bunch who are the uneducated slobs.

Let's face it, if the World Cup was all about drinking, throwing up in people's gardens and generally trashing the place, we'd get so bored because England would keep winning it !

nice summation. you can draw many parallels and see many reflections in a national team and their nation as a whole. chavs, slobs, uneducated, looking more for the "glory goal" and worrying about their X-Factor "image" (re: David Beckham and the British obsession with "celebrity") than playing football with a passion and investing time in perfecting technical skills.

The England team is pretty much the crappy British mentality in a nutshell. Sorry, but that is a sociological certainty.

Present British-Scener company excluded - of course - as their will always be exception in a bad batch.

Tonight at 23:00 live from Assembly Finland it's UKSAS vs. DD & UF. Who can expect the outcome of such a great match yada yada yada!?

I case you were refering to the statistics thing: "football".

I think that football relies a bit more on randomness (at that level at least).

When they invested money in so many excellent foreign players for Premiere league, they made this choice.

Yeah, I also agree with that. In the future every game will end with 0 - 0.

Well, we're hearing rumours here about the real reason england lost: Gerrard (the captain) got his wife's sister pregnant. Nice.

John Terry (former captain, sacked for having an affair) was upset that Gerrard wasn't fired, this caused a big split in the team with half backing Terry and half backing Gerrard (gotta love that.. "You got your wife's sister pregnant? Yeah, that gets my support!")

All of these is apparently covered by some kind of gagging order so the press can't report it for a few weeks. Sounds just about fucked up enough to be true :)
