Speaking of which: Does anybody know which (computer) music magazine featured an interview with Jeff Lim (creator of Impulse Tracker) back in the late 90s? I was told there was such a thing, but nobody knows exactly where and when. Finding this would probably help the IT wiki article a lot.
I wish Wikipedia was more about gathering all the knowledge possible rather than only what everyone knows.
But I wonder if the deleting trend is only in English or if it's also in other languages. Could actually be interesting to study the differences in quality or just style of content between languages/cultures.
But no I won't do a demo, nor a master thesis, about it. :)

and yes scene.nl was cool :)

At least on the german wikipedia they don't seem to delete scene-related articles that fast, and don't care too much if there aren't many sources - like on the modplug article there was a list of things it can do and some wikipedian seriously asked for a source, which simply would have been the manual in this case - while on the english wikipedia, the impulse tracker article is in danger of being deleted because an interview with the infected mushroom guy who previously used impulse tracker was considered not to be credible enough or something.
english wikipedia actually is known for not deleting all too much. german one on the other hand is famous for beeing deletopedia =)

barzoule, on finnish wikipedia they delete things even faster than on english one. also the quality of articles is overall pretty horrible.

Remember guys.. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia of sorts, not a myspace of sorts.
