I put a lot of meaning into this one, but it requires deep study and contemplation. Hopefully you are intelligent enough to interpret this piece of art. If not, you should go and look at some trashy Vallejo stuff because that will suit your inferior mentality more.

Anyone here using a bambo pen&touch? Is that a good device for somebody who just wants to sketch something?

Las: Definitely. I use an A5 Graphire 4 for all my Photoshop work. It's basically an old version of the Bamboo and I find it works great.

I can't afford something "professional grade" and I don't need what "a real graphican" needs - I just want to sketch ideas/algorithms and such in a similar way as I usually do on paper.

Uhm, wait a second. Hunz...
code...

...This is what I get for writing posts half-conscious. Sorry about that. :/

Oh, also. @las:
I have a bamboo (the older kind, before the pen&touch models).
It's pretty good, and you can use it for all kinds of things.
The only thing I could want from it would be a screen on the device itself. If you want something like that, a used compaq tc4400 might be a good purchase.

las: Just get something from Wacom, you really can't go wrong with it. Everything else has thick crayons with batteries as pens..

Yeah I'd love the touch and pen bamboo actually, I have a trust one and it's the biggest pile of shite ever. The drivers are useless, so I got no pressure support or the pointer spazzes out. Got in touch with Trust themselves and they were less than helpful.
I got the pen & touch about a year ago. Good fun/value but it's topped. I got the uDraw tablet for the girls on the wii, now that is good fun - if I can find a cf card reader I'll post.

I should note that I only use the tablet in windows - I tried setting it up in linux & pffftt!

I'm surprised that uDraw thing hasn't been hacked to work with a PC anyways.
Cool!

Las: What's the pressure sensitivity like? Does it feel natural? I'm thinking of upgrading my tablet to one of these as I really like the touch features, but not seen any opinions on the pressure side of things yet.
