Equinox - how many are there?

category: general [glöplog]
There is the obvious / famous Equinox group from ST and recently PC.

There is also this Equinox on amiga.

But how about this Equinox? This group is also amiga, but it's a UK group with totally different prods to the (other?) amiga Equinox? Anyone have an idea of whether they are the same or different groups?

Was there a Danish Amiga demogroup called Cryonics? (Not the famous Crionics). With members like Sharon and Venix? I'd like to find some of their demos if possible..

Equinox is also a Speccy scener. And what's more, he actually changed his name to Equinox by deed poll, and therefore has a much better claim to the name than those silly little groups.

How many Icemen, how many Gandalfs, how many Wizards, how many legos prods, how many "demoscene history revisited" prods, how many "blue screen of death (or similar sign of crashing), hehe just faking" screens in prods...

Well, in the end, it's just a normal process of coming up with an idea and realizing how used it is. Hopefully realizing it will boost the creation of more originality.

fakusmer: more than a man can count.

But back to the original question, can I assume that the 3rd equinox i mentioned in my first post is nothing to do with the st/pc equinox or the amiga equinox already on pouet? If not I'll add the demos under a new equinox group - equinox (amiga) (not the other equinox amiga)?

And how many Exodus, I should mention, of course..

psonice: the other equinox crews you mentioned have nothing to do with us, we have released prods "only" on Atari/Java/PC platforms since 1988, not on Amiga.

Although we really liked that computer, we never released anything on it.
I guess we just had a fancy for pure 68000 coding, without blitter/copper/paula/denise etc, this demo was our way of making amiga demos ;)
I still have 2 amiga at home by the way, if anyone knows a good address in Paris to get them fixed...

For more details you can find our prods over there since not all of them are on pouet: equinox.planet-d.net along with a memberlist, basically the same people involved since our first atari demo, whatever the platform.

yes

as i will soon have my own flat, i will search them out and post them here...

would be really strange if they would just have used your atari logos and fonts and also the same nicknames :P
