You know what make me laught in the end, it's that skrillex is listened by people who are not into electronic music, or who were not... or who are just guys going to club. One of my collegue who is clearly into going to lame clubs (ghetta style) knows about skrillex and when I asked him what he thought about, to name one, slugabed (whom I love), he said he didn't like it... the same with clark latest album that has some dancy pearls.
Plus, it reminds me guys like brian transeau.. the guy who "invented IDM" right after inventing trance.

You realize most people do this right? Dance music is made for clubs and a lot of people don't really like electronic music outside of that setting. (ofc. there are exceptions, but I know a lot of people that don't care about electronic music outside of dance settings)
