pixel artist? vgm musician?

category: offtopic [glöplog]

Is there a pixel artist out there who's willing to use my tools http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=53214 to create a sega-genesis/megadrive demo? proof of ability: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=59201 http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=59048

I can draw pixel-art myself but it's just fucking tedious and I'd rather have someone else do it.

also, while I'm asking, are there any vgm musicians who can make a good tune or would like to lend us one for the 2612?

I recall that madenmann always wanted to do a megadrive demo. But he's not much of a msx/gfx person.

Your gfx tool is linux only and ideally a gfx artist likes to work with his own tools (on win/mac) and then convert them via plugin or a dedicated converter utility.

What tools do you use for music?

Hey sigflup, I might be interested in helping out with the music side of things. I too am keen to see more Sega Megadrive/Genesis demos.

However, tomaes may be right when it comes to a pixeller wanting to use their own tools with which they're experienced and familiar.

Examples of my music (I can do other styles too):

Freezedream! is there a song you'd like to lend us? pantsbutt@gmail.com

I see tomaes point. Perhaps a nice converter is in order... or a windows port

Perhaps you can find a NES/MML track which you can then convert to be VGM using XPMCK . I was able to convert MML file intended for NES to play as Genesis FM+PSG format by editing the plain text MML file.

Zelda VGM from Zelda MML

I got the zelda tune from this site. maybe you can find a NES/NSF musician who has MMLs for you.
Ok, so I ported my sprite editor to windows. Here's the zip and here's a video on how to use it, youtube
