Not sure if trolling..but...
Looking at the games category, I see PLENTY of games that are just remakes of older games.

We need to kill all the sceners, who have done illegal and stolen copies of tracker software for the jazz musicians!

blonde: you should probably look up the definition of "stolen".

i just had a brilliant, innovative idea about a game revolving around the gameplay of firing birds with slingshots against structures built by evil looking pigs. i think i'll call it "furious flock" but that's still a working title, obviously.

who is in? needs to be done on SNES of course.

I wonder how many games would actually remain if you removed *all* the derivatives? 10? And probably less than that for demos :D

oh not again please.

The next demoscener who uses triangles in his rendering loop is a thief !

Maali, then again that game was already made by a scener, so we already have shaming procedures there to handle the case ;)

Are you saying you want to introduce some kind of violent punishment to the scene?

If yes, I'd say you'd be ruining a paradise.

That sounds like a really wrong thing.

Why would you do anything like that?

So the answer to your question is: "No handling needed. Relax and move on."

dont underestimate the demoscene drama machine ;D
in this case its just the same concept tho, one being flash and the other one <8k doesnt really count as "ripping", does it?

If copying a concept isn't allowed.. well anyone who ever made a demo featuring a rotating camera, tunnels, cubes, etc.. you're fucked. And yes, the scene is really dead this time.

A »sceneprison« is the only answer! Ideally that would be a big room full of sceners where they gather and think about their crimes. And instead of one TV per prison-cell there will be a bigscreen in the common room. Let’s call this institution »Revision Detention Center«. :o)

I don't see any problems here.. it's game design.
Let me take Quake 3 source-code and claims it's my own implementation, that would be another story.
