Someone crashed on my car like 1,5 months ago... nothing really spectacular, just a turning light broken and a bump on my chassis... thing is, it was supposed to be fixed like... 4 days after... well, the insurance is delaying, and, even with the promises of both the insurance company and the repair shop... I still don't have it (1,5 fucking months after)... I was promised by them that I'd have it 3 days ago, then 2 days ago, then yesterday... and finally today.

I better have it today, coz tomorrow, tolemaC and I have to go to BCN Party with it, and it's too late to buy train tickets or anything.

I'm in a serious bad mood now :(

lesson learned: never fix your car

Mix anything with insurance companies and it starts to suck immediately.

ok, i just called the repair shop... he said the insurance guy went there tomorrow, and there were no big problems... it'll be done by early this evening... *pfew*

Wtf, insurance company out to check things?

How the hell does this stuff work in spain? In Sweden we have like, ok, you crashed your car, ok, hand it in to get it repaired, then send bill to insurrance company.

If the insurrance company thinks you cheat them or if you where the cause of the accident theyll send a bill to you instead.. Kindof :)

works the same way here i think (argentina), insurance companies check what happend to the car... ie: you _never_ get a coin if you have your car bumped in the front part. anyway Gargaj seems to have the clearest/most solid idea on this subject ;]

panoramix: well, my car was parked, and the other one was going backwards :)

stefan: you get an insurance company guy check the damage and tell HOW it must be repaired (i.e.: replace parts, or just fix them)... then you can choose your repair shop to fix it and they'll just send the bill to the insurance company. You never fix it before the guy has checked it... or there might be problems after :)

in russia iirc every insurance company has a contract with a specified service center so they pay you not a cent more than your repair will cost in that center. But where to repair car - its up to you. Ofcourse after some guy checks damage etc ...

yeah.. in russia the mafia controls all insurance companies

uhm, btw, I already got my car, will see whoever is coming at BCN tomorrow then (if I don't crash it on the way, it's ~700Km :D )
