This so reminds me of something Oscar Wilde once wrote:

Quote:
Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

Yep you nailed it, we're all just ordinary people, living ordinary lives. Except for some of us with an extra-ordinary high IQ, of course. :P (btw. i originally searched for a cover of that song, which i remembered was way better, but couldn't find it.. must be cause i did just an ordinary search)

I may add, for the record, that France also has its bunch of racists, anti-semitic, islamophobic and recently we discovered during the recent events following the approval of gay marriage that we, frenchies, visionary of all, we had a lot of extreme nationalist and they are pretty young.
-> just passing by.
(btw, some people really believe they are some kind of super original dudes? Making things on computer... in 2013?)
No Homophobes

knl: and their leader, she is married with her cousin ;)
added on the 2013-05-30 11:05:17 by Dubmood Dubmood
thats more complicated than "being their leader" as there are different parties mixing all together (for the great shame). There's various right wing parties, CIVITAS (religious), and many extreme right people.

But yes, the funny fact is that Christine Boutin is known for being married with her cousin...
but if you mention that to her she will sue you!!! X_X

labels, labels, labels ... moar ... snag, bag 'n tag 'em. Need more "-isms", more shelves to cerebral-intellectually stuff people's characters into; that goes for both sides of the "discussion" ... namecalling, rather. No wonder why I'm refering to Pouet as a "lunatic assylum" when I'm on the ADA.
Calling on Dr. Hugh Manatee to help evolve people's minds.

namecalling

That's by far the most interesting word from these last threads and I just used it in a discussion lately because I found people were all childish about giving names to other who disagree.

In france, the country has been splitted into the usual left/right propagandas and it became a war of tolerance against a war of intolerance but the most tolerants are rather intolerants towards intolerants who actually are just hating on differences. I mean: the fuck;

All of these discussions could mainly be sum this way:
"boooh, you suck, you no tolerant, you are hater"
"booooh, you're stupid, you don't realize how much you don't understand my point of view"
"booooooh, insert names so people can finger point you"

Being the devil's advocate:
What if it were cool again to be a racist?

What if most people were racist/[INSERTNAMES] but were hiding it because it's definitely uncool and it would appear like a social suicide?

What if I told you I suspect most people are just NOT racist/intolerant because they had the feeling they were more awesome this way?

How do you exactly know you're not a racist/intolerant? Why would you even care replying to people accusing you because once you've been accused, it's useless to say "no no no it's not true BECAUSE..." because people won't listen at you;

Could you befriend a racist/intolerant? Even if this guy would save your life? And if no... would that turn you into an intolerant?

DEEP QUESTIONS HERE.

What if we were just a bunch of stupid guys arguing on the Internet?

Also riding the bus without a valid ticket, ps. I recall you did that while in Budapest. The fuck I care? Also, the fuck you care? The fuck you are by the way?

well, if you want to change things politically in your country you should care about respecting it's laws. how do you expect people to hear what you have to say if you don't set an example yourself? leadership by example is the only way to fix politics imho.

I just asked who the fuck are you to give me a lesson about laws. Furthermore, what the fuck have you done in your life that's useful. And all the other questions.

Thank you, I have a girlfriend, much unlike most of you, geeks. I think you're more fucked up than you think I am. At least I have manners.

I would get all the babes if I only had this printed on a T-shirt:
