About two minutes on a core i5 machine, which is comparable to my other Clinkster tracks released previously. If memory serves me right, precalc time on an AMD rig is less, but I don't have one here right now to run a test).

I guess it's about time to polish up and release the multi-threaded version of the Clinkster player source. ;)

And so I did. Along with an additional optimization, it reduces the precalc time for Sunspire's final version from 1:44 to 0:27 - about a factor of 4 speedup. Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for the precalc in the compo next year. ;)

That is awesome news, thank you Blueberry! :) Where can I find a pre-compiled windows version of the new multi-threaded Clinkster player? I'd love to give this a try.

the lighter as such is a very social animal and tends to change its partners often.

Decent set lug00ber. About a billion times better than your Evoke set. Where's the love for liquid or soul-inspired stuff though? :)

It's about a billion less turntable bumps too, which helps a lot. The Evoke set was fantastic fun though, but doesn't make for good listening except for those of us than can relive that night :)

The only technical issues I had this time was that all the smoke in the air made dust build up on the needles constantly. I had to remove it in between almost every song, and you can still hear the sound distorting more and more as the tracks play along. I even had to pull up Changing in the breakdown to get a huge ball of dust off :D

I have a lot of love for soulful music, but summer's over :P
However, the section with Blind Faith/Away/Eternal September/Curfew/Toys is melodic and mellow (compared to the rest of the set), so that people can calm down a bit before the intensity goes up again. I find that you generally wear people out if you play full on for over an hour, so I try to vary the intensity a bit when playing longer sets.
