It works, but it's a bit slow due to my choice of a celeron 400.

Thx!
so here is my PII/Celeron Win98se DX 6.1 Voodoo3 friendly Demoscene-Archive

This is by far the best Retro-Demo that works on my DX6.1/400Mhz/3dfx Machine.
Stunning high quality gfx, fantastic effects. WOW! https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=5694
Don't know what mIRC is, but I need stuff for my Celeron400/dx61/voodoo3 :)
that's not exactly oldskool is it? basically anything PC up to 1999 should work on it.

For this beautiful piece of GPU I would try to find some demos made for Glide, who cared about DX6.1 at a time?!
Are there any Glide-only demos from this era?

Glide Demos? one or two are known to me.
Thx dissed the 3dfx-cards in many demos because of the 16Bit Colordepth and the 256x256 Texturelimit.

Here are at least three of them
This one is Glide only. BTW if anyone wants to make a better screenshot of that one feel free to. The texture memory on my Voodoo card was in the process of eating itself alive when I made the one that's there.

Awesome stuff! What can be better than having a fog table with 64 entries:
void grFogTable( const GrFog_t table[GR_FOG_TABLE_SIZE] );
built-in into the API and possibly directly supported by the hardware ;-P
and of course "pixel pipeline" with LFB direct read/write access to pixels :]
I actually did Glide rendering code for one project back then and I remember having hard time porting it to DirectX later - I've never got all the effects right :'(

Ah, I almost forgot: grAADrawPoint, grAADrawTriangle, grAADrawPolygon :]]

Worst was the questionable driver quality and the "blurblurultrablur" hype

works great on my machine, but crashes win9x after the end.
^^ It's actually a DOS demo, maybe exit Windows & give it a try?

A glide Demo that requires DX9 ? bah! (virhe)

This works with Voodoo3 and Voodoo1 https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=4
The Voodoo3-cards are really good and competitive.

Don't know why lots of older demoscene-stuff do not work with them.
