Skrolli - a computing culture magazine

category: general [glöplog]
Oh, hi.

If you've visited a Finnish demoparty in recent years, you may have heard about Skrolli. I founded this paper magazine three years ago, and so far we've published twelve issues (and even kept the schedule surprisingly well). It's not a demoscene mag, although demoscene-relevant content pops up quite frequently.

Now we're trying to crowdfund an international edition in English. Especially if you happen to be among those who subscribed to Sceen, I hope you support this project (:

What else did you expect from a computer magazine with "WHY DEMOS SUCK" written in bold capital letters on the cover? :)

I'm surprised there's no mention of Bitcoin on the cover. That'd max out the neckbeard-factor.

Well, it *is* the best computer magazine in the world. Even with my limited finnish skills, I've been able to tell that.

Hooray for the international edition!

(Also, my beard probably advanced half a centimeter down my neck reading this)

Yeah I can vouch for what urs said too, skrolli is pretty amazing especially considering how well it has succeeded this day and age. The international edition is an awesome initiative :)

Skrolli is such a great magazine. Here are some links to older issues. They're in finnish, but at least you can check out the topics.

Hey viznut, if you didn't publish the SQLi article yet, I'd like to take a look at it. I have seen a lot of articles on the topic that could use improvement, so maybe I can make some suggestions. Thanks!

I give up
I hope the Skrolli editors are better at previewing their magazine layout than they are at using the preview button on Pouet!
