Revision 2016 - 25th to 28th March - Saarbrücken, Germany

category: parties [glöplog]
People always congregate by the door before opening and share booze anyway. :)
Are any of the hotels in walking distance besides Mercure and the one whose name I can't recall that looks like a grounded Love Boat, has a golden decorative lion on top of the main entrance and that has doors that sometimes lock up by themselves and need a person called Horst to come open them with his magic super technological key after he's been alerted from spending time at a family Easter thing while you're scared that you will miss your flight?

Crystal and Victor's are in walking distance (via the railway bridge walkway) Crystal being maybe a bit closer (and without a hill back to the hotel).

I suspect Preacher was talking about Crystal. :)

I also think both those hotels have in fact less walking distance to party place than Mercure.

Distance to crystal is nice. . but that is all that is nice with that hotel :)
still I usually stay there. as it is a walking-distance.

BUT! if you pay with credtcard. tell them to not "validate" your card but actually PAY the bill at arrival.. or they will (termorary) charge you twice...

The hotel information is now available.

Check our page for details and use the separate booking page to... book! (thanks to the tourism office of Saarbrücken)

You can actually get better prices for most hotels if you book the Weekend Special 3 for 2. I've saved some bucks in the last two years using this.

- @l00g1e: I bet Saarbrucken Casino hope for a re-match, but the House should know by know that in the long run Darklite always wins.... Rule #1 of gambling ffs!

Response,

I'm sure Saarbrucken's strip club should also be aware of that too :)

Keine Panik, der kommt eh nicht durch. Vielleicht eine kleine Motivation an alle, den Beitrag zu erweitern?

Our competition rules are online. As in the last years, there are categories for every taste. Music, Graphics, Demo, Animation and all the weird stuff you're used to.

Small changes have been made since last year - please check out the "New & Noteworthy" section if you're taking part in the Oldskool, Amiga or Graphics competitions.

All graphics compos will be "anonymized"

How about music?

All Amiga intro/demo entries (This means OCS, ECS and AGA chipsets) take part in the dedicated Amiga compos

Thank you.

Music was already anonymous last year. Weren't graphics compos as well? (not sure why this is in the "new & noteworthy" section.)
I know it was, but it's never explicitly stated.

(FWIW I'm against that decision but hey.)

Actually, music and graphics are rarely anonymous. Sometimes it's really easy to guess who is the author :-)

...and all of a sudden people think h0ffman has three entries in the tracked music compo.
