And since it's "of all time", once that scener dies we will ... prevent ... other sceners by taking over?
battle royale between the oldest i say

Ultra http://www.pouet.net/user.php?who=13530 and Rock/FIG missing from Gasman list, Ultra has 28 and and Rock 29 years (Rock also competes in longest hiatus i guess) :)

Gasman,

The other fun takeaway from that list is that quite a high proportion of these twenty year plus guys are either from the Atari scene or have strong connections to it. (He says, with a shock of recognition at finding himself on there.)

Also Mahoney should indeed have 29 (or 30?) years.

Also, I got addicted to the demoscene back in 1993 after watching Future Crew's Second Reality on my brand new custom built 486 DX2/66 PC. Even my parents were amazed by it. Ha!

Also Romeo Knight 28 years (refering again to Gasman list)

Serpent: where are you counting the 28 distinct years? Did you look at stuff that's not on music archives and not listed on Demozoo?

I can only find 19 distinct years in this list for Romeo Knight

29 years since my first release on c64 :P
But how many distinct years with at least one contribution to a release? If you haven't done anything, those years don't count.

Don't take this data as 100% reliable, of course - some platforms have better data coverage on Demozoo than others...

As an example, Demozoo is missing credits for my prods for at least '95, '97, '02 and '04. So that would land me at 18 in the statistics (rather than the actual 22). But apparently all the prods are there, including our TP95 40k that I couldn't even remember the name of. ;)

(According to Demozoo, it was called "Intro".)
