Thanks for the votes everyone!

Rutra80: Ok cool just wanted to ensure that we're on the same page. Been thinking abt something similar myself, like to maybe have the more danceable stuff separate from listening music, or to place songs in chronological order etc.

And everyone requesting STS tracks, I feel that all of those should really go on a release of their own as it was one of the concepts for the project to boot with. Idea back then was to transform the executables to a dvd / cd combo, like this audio-visual journey where the STS spacecraft travels through unknown worlds. Could at least try get the audio portion sorted out.. :)

Not intimately familiar with your releases but they never fail to catch my attention. Aliens ate my demo maker is probably my favorite. Also I once played it to little girl asking "what's rave music". :)

Looking forward to a (double!) release.

Just a quick update, compilation prep work is well under way. Did hit a couple of snags already, most critically 1) 'Asdf' is not going to happen since I seem to have saved only the video project file for it and 2) Isoljator (= Protozoa) is missing one original stem track recording file. Ooops!

Luckily at least the latter can be patched up by re-recording. I'm well tempted to also fix the sloppy percussion sync on the last segment of Isoljator :)

Unfortunate with Asdf, coz audio track in video version has some clipping :'(
Hopefully by sloppy percussion sync in Isoljator you don't mean the glitchy rhythm? Because IMO it's a big chunk of charm of that piece :)

Yeah it's that part. Not planning to touch it in any major way, just clean up a few loose syncs between perc & melody that slipped in to the release. Basically fixing now what I didn't have the time for back then..

I go crazy when I hear the bass sound.
And hit-hats, with a subtle tempo.

kimmo should still do a robot demo one day with that one though post retirement :P
I like 1995 and Ultimatum to the World. Fermion was good too, but repetitive IMO.

repetitive

people who haven't listened to techno in the 90's where majority of the track was 4 on the floor kick should not use the word repetitive.

during those long minutes between anything really happening one started to pick up little nuances that only a true techno connoisseur can appreciate.

the buoyancy, the snap, the crackle and subtle changes heard in space as the saturation of the tape made magic out of something that is now called repetitive IMO.

Or you just smash through the tunes at a rate of knots to keep I interesting.

Bumpity bump update:

Progress on the content is that Vol. 1 is mostly sorted out whereas Vol. 2 is undergoing basic project file setup for stem renders. Sadly 'Code Inside' joins the list of projects gone to Byte Heaven and will not be included. RIP.

I had my studio set up to a new location some weeks ago and have thus had several weeks plain downtime and slow progress on the project. Taking it extra cautious with final mixes too, as workspace acoustics are W-I-P plus I'm still (h)ear-adjusting to the new room. At this point I'd rather put a bit of extra work to proofing the mixes on a few additional soundsystems, than sprint to a deadline and then find mysel regretting any rushed mixes soon after.

What this all means is that my initial end-of-2017 release schedule is totally out of the window. My aggregator has only a few more days to submission deadline for 2017 and it doesn't take a psychic to see that I'm totally not going to make that.

Anyway working working working on it! :)
