Revision 2018 - 30. March to 2. April - Saarbrücken, Germany

category: parties [glöplog]
The difference between e.g. Slengpung and an archived twitch stream is also that photos are very much focussed in time, we try to not add overly embarassing pictures on Slengpung, and we are open to remove pictures when people don't like how they are depicted (which we try to avoid upfront, see previous point). Try removing a questionable 1-minute piece from a 10-hour video where someone did something they regret doing now.

Speaking of which... Slengpung pix should arrive sometime soon.
Frankly at this stage in society I wouldn't be against putting the entirety of Slengpung under login.

Definitely a good point.
Thank you to both organizers and visitors for yet another fabulous Revision party!

One new feature I liked was the "party favorite" option in the voting system - the concept of being able to "win Revision". However, its execution at the prizegiving ceremony was a huge disappointment. May I suggest these changes for next year:

- Present the result in the same way as the compo results, with the runner-ups racing on the screen for the first place. I had been looking a lot forward to see the field of runner-ups. This is a category where just being part of the runner-up field is an achievement in itself.

- Present the award last rather than first. Make it something special. "So now we have seen who won each individual compo. Let's see who won THE WHOLE THING!" The revelation of the winner this year was a bit of an anticlimax, since the prizegiving hype wasn't fully built up yet.

I dunno, it was kinda funny to consider that there's still a chance that we may win favorite of party but not the actual compo :D

@djh0ffman, @ferris: Thanks guys for the kind words. Like I said @pplace, you stole the show. The flow and the sound (Serum ftw!) were huge. You made a great, coherent performance (let be honest - probably thanks to our lucky onion that we left for you on the stage table).

I'm totally with Blueberry on the party favorites cat.
Also thanks for another great party experience. It was a blast!

LOST & FOUND topic:

In my afterparty haze I forgot to take some stuff from the hall...
Is there a lost & found thread I can turn to?
Or someone that's hording (hopefully) all my forgotten stuffs?

I'm mainly still looking for a small box of Poo-Brain 64K Horsepower stickers.
And a smal extremely colorful woven jacket (a gift from Japan) that was tucked away in a plastic back inside a big blue AlbertHeijn shopping bag... Was close the infamous IGAD table.

Thanks for taking the time, and thank you all once again for an amazing party ^_^

That was actually the plan but it was also one of the problems during the prizegiving preparation, so we decided to reward it "vocally". Will be fixed next time.

Also, strictly no handwriting allowed in the prizegiving ceremony!

garg said something I wanna echo pls. wishing had a slengpung thread for this, but maybe it is too businesslike of me to want to slot things neatly into matching threads.

Technically the only thing stopping me is that dfox is hosting it and he said he was busy with something last month :D

Might as well remove the site completely then...

Recording of last night's Twitch stream. Not so much of a DJ mix as a radio show, although with no talking :D

@lug00ber
Thanks for sharing the stream... I guess this will be good track while coding on work. Next time we should interchange beer again ;) tasted great.

lug00ber: thanks for planing some of our stuff! I must add a little correction: Engage is by wobble and hoffman, not just hoffman. :)

Yeah, I thought about it when I did the tracklisting, I did seem to remember that some tracks were co-ops. Guess I just didn't bother to do proper research when tagging the wavs in the first place. I will correct it in Rekordbox for great future benefits!
