...but of course I also lost fair and square at Nova, so it probably makes sense to give someone else a shot if slots are limited. Obviously I have no issue with that :)

To be fair I'm usually writing compute shaders these days; been a long time since I bootstrapped a raymarcher ;)

Current status is that we have 6 coders in the tournament already, and 4 volunteers (including xernobyl & ferris who I will contact tonight or tomorrow to fill in details) for a total of 8 remaining spots. So more volunteers are still very welcome! :)

8 remaining? Not 8 total?

That's odd. I thought that it would be quite a popular sport. Stage fright? =)

Gargaj: 8 remaining it is indeed! The main focus is the traditional 8-coder tournament, for which 6 spots are already filled, so we'll do 2 qualification matches with 2 competitors to fill up the bracket- that's the first 4 spots. Besides that, we're also doing a 4-coder 2020 qualifying tournament, with final on the main stage right before the main tournament's final match. So 8 total, all avenues considered :)

25 minutes? That's how long i take to 'setup' a very basic raymarcher with some GI estimations!

minus256: that's why we publish twitch links, and maybe you should also keep an eye on the seminar schedule ;)

LJ and Ferris totally should get a second chance! ;)
Just let em in to the 2019 qualification matches, if there is noone else applying anyway! ;)
Aswell as Fizzer if he wants of course!
All of them have been in the Showdown for many times before and always showed awesome stuff! And in the End we all just want a Compo full of awesome, right?!
I kinda lost my "steam" for doing this (not just because you beat me so hard, Hardy!) but I'm happy to be in the emergency backup reserve list.

@fizzer I'm taking the bus from frankfurt to revision at 13:45, so there's a chance I won't be on the party place before the compo starts at 16:00.
