Graphic artist needed (Amiga)

category: gfx [glöplog]
Hello,

I would like to get in touch with a graphic artist to start a duo team, where I am the programmer.

My current project is a demo for the demo scene where the target is Commodore Amiga 500 with OCS chipset.

A knowledge of the Amiga graphics and related tools is certainly welcome.

It is not a paid work but such projects can give a very good return in terms of visibility and resume.

Those interested can email me mscarano @ libero . it

THANKS

@Saga Musix

Thanks I posted my ad there too.

@All

My goal is to find a RELIABLE partner for a number of projects.

The main focus is on "old-school" 2D pixel art.

@slayer

Yes possible, I swapped a few emails with Puni@Void over the last weeks but made no decision yet. Thanks for the links.

well if he means "return" and "resume" as in "you go back to continuing what you were doing"...

'at least 3 people saw your pixels!'
nonsense, it is sure to give more pixel work opportunities in the future.

AlienTech: Unfortunately, I currently have too many open projects.

@All

So difficult to find a reliable person, it is really a mess out there.
Should I cancel my demo projects?
What can I do more?

I suggest you actually code something to show any potential gfx artists. If you have something good to present, getting a decent gfx artist shouldn't be a problem.

@britelite

I can showcase a concept for my current demo project, for those interested.

But it feels like my ad fell into oblivion :(

@britelite

Maybe you need a break from coding? Yes? You welcome ;)

Not sure what you mean with "concept", but if you have working prototypes of actual effects/screens with placeholder graphics, finding an artist shouldn't be hard if the effect is promising.

Stop sounding like a drama queen who would be unpleasant to work with. :)
@Kylearan

I have sketched graphics produced by myself.

@Korvkiosken

It is a difficult world, isn' t it? :)

It doesn't have to be.
Just carry on *making stuff* and don't expect people to jump onboard a project with close to zero info and you should be fine. :)
@Korvkiosken

There are indeed a lot of info as those who emailed me know.

You can continue to sell sausages from your kiosk.

How will me taking a break help you in any way?

And you're getting valid suggestions, there's no need to get an attitude.
