youtube really sux... i linked in many places, but people watches 5-10x (!) more on facebook.

FYI: Facebook view counts are misleading
"Misleading" meaning they intentionally lied about it for years to kill indie video - just ask CollegeHumor.
very hard to tell... because you get the feedback just from the provider itself, and the metrics also different. i watched the playing minutes. and yes, fb cheating with that, because mostly they are counting the seconds, if the user does not really watch it.
but on the upside... if you share something on the youtube without any sharing on another media (eg on fb), worth nothing. nobody found, watch it. if you do the same on the facebook, the community groves up muchmuch faster.
if you watch just the long term playing - it is also min 3x more effective if you stay just within the fb. simply the people lazy to click more, or they do not care after the title or an image.
youtube is good for old youtubers or if you create a viral video. currenty i upload to both, and we will see after a year, because the search is not the strongest point of the fb.
different platfrom, different strength - but the community part is much stronger on fb, and this the reason, why is easier to share any info (videos, etc).
