Free VS.NET 2003 for US sceners

category: general [glöplog]
We've got a bunch of copies of VS.NET 2003 academic edition leftover from Pilgrimage 2004, so we're paying the postage to send them to anyone in the US who'd like a guilt-free copy of this development environment.

Act now while supplies last!

There's also PLENTY OF FREE GCC's left in the internet, available for europeans, asians and even africans ( ...and before anyone has a chance to make a wisecrack about it, yes there are african sceners!) ;)

also, the express edition of vs 2005 is freely downloadable from http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express but i guess most people knew that (incl the same fast good optimising compiler and the ide, excl all the hip shit nobody uses anyway)

i guess most people knew that already but maybe not all.

This is the most stripped version of vs.net ever.

Its still better than nothing but not really anything you would want to use.

We also had this for free at swedish demoparties, they dont even contain msdn.

i mean is there really something to cut off ? or probably it is just a notepad with a commandline compiler without optimization ?

What is the Visual C++ Toolkit 2003?
The Visual C++ Toolkit is a free edition of Microsoft's professional Visual C++ optimizing compiler and standard libraries--the same optimizing compiler and standard libraries that ship in Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional!

The IDE that comes with Visual C++ sucks bigtime anyway :)

i got a microsoft visual studio 2005 beta 2 for free in the mail!
only problem is that i can't use it, eh :)
I used to visit Pouet a lot, but then I stopped. I've been too busy writing code with the copy of Visual Studio.net I picked up at Pilgrimage 2003.

hooraay for MS Academic License with free-of-charge architect version of VS :)
Follow the link to see the details, but basically is the same as VS.NET 2003 Professional with a minor change to the license.

It is most definately not what you can download for free. This costs about $100 when you buy it as a student and it costs about $500 or more when you buy the Professional edition.

It comes with the MSDN Library that shipped with VS.NET 2003, but does not come with the most recent version of MSDN Library. However, you can always donwload the most recent Platform SDK (and newer DirectX SDKs require it anyway) and supplement your MSDN with the Platform SDK.

That was Troll. He's a pretty nice guy and was just pissed off by people like you (yes, only "like you" since I cannot remember whether you were involved in annoying our friends from the other side of the Atlantic). Concerning the facts you're a dutch and you share a border to that evil belgians I think there's nothing strange, even I hate you.

Oh and...

I think its the gayness that scares alot of americans away from the demoscene, thats what my friends say whenever I make them watch a demo, always whining about it being gay

friggin homos need to go to hooters drink some beer and watch some NASCA, that'll fixit
