I can't believe you guys fall for this troll...

And Chock, your "algorithm" would be at least partially framerate-dependent (it would look about the same on every computer though) and IMHO that's not a good way to do things, unless you really have to (like physics or things where you can't calculate things from the beginning on every frame).

wait a minute! Does anyone still belive this is for real? That bad english after the Optimius-bad english-thread indicates that someone here is having a really good time.

oh, if you are a real dude Ghost, try too learn more english or find sites that uses langues more common too you. And good luck with your radar! :)

rainmaker: Aww... well... I must admit it is slightliy framerate dependent. But calculating the exact time when the radar hit the spot the last time may become quite complicated, depending on the movement of the spot...

[Chock trying to make himself not look as stupid as he obviously is]

Chock: you don't need to. just save the time it last passed by the dot, and use somethig like 1 / (time - last_dot_time) or whatever your preferred anim-function is. if you really want the hit-time to be precise, you can allways add some binary-searching or whatever.

be.. just calculate the angle between spot-center and spotdir. is it that hard ?

so this is not about sinking triangle physics in volumetric fog?

Avoid using global variables.
