Need Nerve Axis and MAWI contacts for MindCandy vol 2

category: general [glöplog]
(cut and paste from demodvd.org page..)

We need to reestablish contact with two groups: Nerve Axis and Madwizards. We have email addresses for Crash and Meson (NVX) and Flapjack (MWI) but have not heard back in a long time. If you can locate contacts for these two groups, please have them email me at the address on the Contact Info page, or reapply at the Disc Contents page, so we can finally get permission to include their demos on the DVD. Thanks!

MAWI members are easier to come across though, especially after they recruited half the scene :D

Token members, maybe. Real members, unlikely.

Yeah but some of us have already said it was OK, and apparently that isn't good enough....

I guess I need to know WHO you'll accept an OK from... I saw Flapjack online last week, but he's notoriously not online for months after a reappearance. I see Kiero more often... is his word ok? And must it be in Email or something?
demo dvd amiga still in developement?
geeeeez. cool ;-)

pheonix: I've already contacted azzaro - expect mail very soon. Kiero is a point blank :) - can only be seen on meetings
or doing weird things like this:

my preference for a contact person is usually someone deeply involved in the demo, like the main coder. but some groups have "lead organizers" or "public relations" people who can reach everyone else in the group, and they're fine too. flapjack falls into the second category, while kiero or azzaro would fall into the first category, i think.

truck: if you can reach at least one or two of the guys who worked on fate fits karma, by im, email, phone, irc, pub meeting, whatever, then you can be the contact guy, definitely. i just wasn't comfortable enough with a "it's okay by me" if the guys who made the demo were to pop out of nowhere and complain.

and you'll have to read and "sign" (type your name under, at least) a permission form that agrees to distribution terms.. but noone has rejected it and only a few had any issues, so it can't be that bad. :)

Ok, I'm leaving a messy for Kiero; I'm assuming your mail from Azzaro is coming as well, but just to be sure. I did mention it to him back in December, but, well, Azzaro also has the famous 'You don't know me' Tshirt for Flapjack, and Flapjack hasn't seen it yet (:
i talked to silentriot in phone during new years eve and told him to get someone to give the permission, but it seems that he might've forgot that :)

nosfe: ha ha - heard that he was very pissed back then - one amiga scener has shot from an air gun a lantern that was standing in front of their hotel :).
Meanwhile azzaro said that you can publish their demos. And also said that his email is on ojuice.

phoenix, if you're still having trouble contacting nvx guys, ganja / nerve axis can be easily reached through various ways (like while doing barhopping in finland :) - he's been the musician in about all of the their demos so that part should qualify as well.

yeah, and i'm hoping we get the DVD done BEFORE breakpoint. :)

unfortunately, we can't promise that.. but yeah, worse comes to worse, we'll get signatures in person. i got permission for two volume 1 demos at boozembly. :)

it means i'm thinking about it.. last i checked, airfare from new york was $550. not bad, hoping it'll drop a little more though.

of course, i'd *like* bring dvds or at least a preview with me, but hell, i'll probably need a vacation by then anyway. i can always whip up some more fuck-reality-watch-demos shirts. :D

I herewith announce I am alive, and that I am not notoriously off-line :) It's just that I don't use IRC anymore that often. Phoenix, Dan has got me on his Skype and we did make a contact by email like two months ago. The other thing though is that our domain (madwizards.org) has been subject to hostile take over. Hence none of the associated email addresses, including flapjack@madwizards.org, work anymore, which is indeed a pity. Whatever, I will make my best to contact Kiero and verify as to whether he is capable of rendering the frames.

Plus see you fellas at Breakpoint. I have already bought my tickets. Frankfurt-Hahn, beware :)

Wait, that's a very nice way of saying you guys messed up the domain renewal, right?
