texel: i merged your accounts and sent yah a new password for your texel account using the email on the nanook account, if that email is not working email scene.org about it so that i can know which other one is valid.

hitch: im gonna put the 40k trackmos back as 40k intros otherwise we'll get flooded with people asking for >95 64k intros all to get labelled as demos.

Question? Is a copy program, draw program, boot sector editor for ATARI ST useful to be posted here as tool. We did all of this. Never released it anywhere.

Seppjo: if you're thinking about Degas elite or Fast-copy, they are not demotools.

For stuff like Neochrome Master, Synthetic Arts or CrackArt it's borderline, I don't really know.

ps: i've changed 40 Tracktro back to demo since it is everything but not a 40k (despite its name). It's just a normal demo. Please don't change it back to 40k. Thanks. :)

aga only.

http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=17850

These are demos not 40k intros.
(the first one is 500k, the second one is 130k).

Also ps you may want to consider this if you haven't done so yet:

Quote:

I think it'll be better to dispatch the amiga productions into 4 categories:

- Amiga 500/1500/2000
(productions needing a 68000 + 512k of chipmem, OCS chipset)

- Amiga 500+/600
(68000 + 1mb of chipmem, ECS chipset)

- Amiga 1500/2500/3000
(68020 or more + 1mb or more chipmem, ECS chipset)

- Amiga 1200/4000
(68020 or more + AGA chipset).

There's already a separate category for amiga ppc.

A little bit like it's done for 16/32 bits atari prods which is a fair classification imho.

Also, i don't think there's many entries to change in the database, mostly post-uae ones needing funky hardware requirements.

All fixed except that I didn't change http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=17850 back to demo since it seems to have competed in a 40k compo. And the file on Amigascne.org is unpacked so I highly doubt it's the original, unmodified file.

@keops,

we made a resolution indepedent draw program on falcon 030 called RAG-D. Are you able to test falcon 030 Software? No one of us has a falcon anymore.

Also some other shitty tools :)
added on the 2006-09-07 15:06:53 by seppjo seppjo
Seppjo: I don't have a falcon here either but if you think it's close enough to a demotool, try and submit it. If falcon owners think it's not a demotool after giving it a try, we will remove it :)

if it's not a commercial product, and made by/for demomakers it should be fine in the demotool category.

@keops & p01:

all non comercial! O.K. I'll post it later. Thanks for support.

Just to warn you before you get the usual "kind pouet feedback": you might not want to post all the "other shitty tools" ;)

yes, only the useful non commercial ones. also, got some of those "feed backs" already and can live with it. That's the reason why I asked here. ;)

hitch: i read it, i seriously dont have time to even consider it though. maybe next week.

Too many categories would be too confusing IMO. Same goes for Atari Falcon for instance, if we start messing with categories such as 030, 060, Centurbo stuff etc, almost everybody will get lost. NFO files + comments + the current categories should be enough.

Am I wrong or did not we already remove the OCS categorie some time ago because we came to the conclusion that it was useless? (or maybe I'm mixing things up)
added on the 2006-09-07 17:12:45 by keops keops
Keops: No that one's the other way around, people would like to have OCS because of the demos that only run on OCS.

Thing is, several of those have been 'fixed' by Sting0r so (:
T I: yeah, might be, I don't quite remember it. Just found the old thread: http://www.pouet.net/topic.php?which=2353&page=1&x=24&y=11

I guess it will keep some people busy for some time :)
