Looking for 3 MS-DOS demo's (1985 - 1995)

category: general [glöplog]

Hey all,

I'm looking for 3 demo's (all 3 MS-DOS exe's or com's) I had on a diskette back in the 90's:

1. A looping animation of a beating heart, if I remember in the colors of the USA flag and with a map on the background.
2. An animation of a panning motion around a kids bicycle or tricyle.
3. An animation of a silver / gray face / mask

Unfortunalty I lost the disk, but would like to recover these small childhood memories... All suggestions are very welcome...

Sounds like not a demoscene demo but something like FLI animation and maybe just an executable player running them.

I am curious if you can find them in some archive, for example I just found one with the description here https://www.pcorner.com/list/ANIM
WARBEAT.ZIP - FLI of a beating heart with the US flag painted on it.

You will also need a FLI player.

There are few players here https://www.aos.wisc.edu/fli.html
I am on Win10 and PowerFlic worked for me but not Waaplay.

You guys are great. Warbeat indeed is one of the animations. BIKE.ZIP is number 2. Didn't find the silvery grey mask yet.

So you guys are probably right: these were FLI animations that were converted in executables that could be run in DOS. Would be nice if I could actually find the .exe's instead of the FLI's, so I can play them on my DOS box ;-).

But I have a lot more info know. Thanks! If you would have a clue where to find the silvery grey face / mask, that would also be welcome...

The thrid one was on the first page too: achooo.zip

Indeed I guess a tool likge FLI2EXE was used to make the executables... Thanks for the help, guys! Now I'm going to browse through some 64k demo's here on the site... Quite some impressive demo's here!
