Any success running dos demos with xdosemu?

I have tried it on just a few demos myself, with no luck. I'm kind of suprised however, because I thought dosemu was pretty complete. Has anyone had better success?

(Dosemu is a dos emulator for linux/freebsd)

afaik dosemu doesn't support a gus nor vesa 2.0 specs... tough luck making a dos demo run without those

didn't have any luck yet getting something to work though.

actually i've heard that it could be possible to get gus working with dosemu.
