But, what is this shit about PPC not allowed in the Amiga Compo. That aint cool. Claims there were no PPC entries last year, well wasnt the Mawi demo PPC?
They really should allow it, but could require that the participants who has PPC releases need to bring their own hardware.

As usual, they've picked worst possible date from my point of view. Some people have families they are supposed to be with during Easter.

Seriously, getting that exotic amiga hardware these days is a though job. And the single one amiga that existed in Germany that was able to do PPC and Pegasos and served as a compo amiga since Mekka times finally exploded for good, IIRC.
I guess details can be better explained by the compo orgas...

scamp: I know Breakpoint is always held during Easter (that's why I've said "as usual"). For some it's best time, for some it's worst. It seems that I'll have to wait for Asm'06 to finally go to a big demoparty (I only wish they had 96k gamedev compo).
Scamp: I'm not a PPC/Pegasos user myself, and I didnt know that there were so few of this kind of hardware in Germany. I got the impression that PPC amigas were growing in the scene, but I guess maybe not i Germany.
I guess if there are some groups that want to release PPC demo, they will contact you guys and offer their own machine as compo-machine....or something.

Most people can take thoose days off, and it aint like there is anything exciting happening in ones hometown in the boring easter days anyhow.
