.werkkzeug 1.5

category: general [glöplog]
Thanks Sauron! And thanks Chaos ;) Maybe releasing Werkkzeug4? Better, making it open source? A super powerful tool from 2003 is finally (although not officially) released in 2011... why all this time?! Releasing private tools is definitely not an obligation, but i think is a good way to help the community. Carmack for example releases his engines source code regularly.
Tutorial please :)

There's no fun in using tools.

Very true. You should be naked with long hair, and only eat what you can catch with your bare hands. Now THAT is fun.

Reminds me of that fetish party lately.

god sauron. that's a lil more than a 'hint'. thx alot.

As I said it's too bad it doesn't bake intros or another kkrieger-game -.- but sure useable for playing around with demo'ish things.

@fr-coders: I shouldn't ask, but... is there a complete demo-player around? even tho fr-074's is quite usable. :)

Just make a petition for fr to release, the complete and real with examples, WZ3.

xernobyl: It's fun to use the tools you wrote yourself :-)

@xernobyl Naah. Actually... it doesn't need anything more than what's given. So... I sure won't start that kinda shit.

And about the "You shall not use tools" thing. Well isn't every image and modelling program a TOOL too. And sure most demos around involve prefabricated data. WZ is just a clever all-in-one. So... who's jealous?

He's probably introducing some sort of netbot, so don't listen or download to him. Unless he's got something really working and proof.
To me this is all a big HoaX!

even the source code? :)
Goal #1: Accept the fact, that there's something one cannot do
Goal #2: Set a reachable goal on your path to what you cannot do
Goal #3: When reaching your goal - set a new one

In time, you'll find out you can do what you couldn't before.

Time is possible's only limit!

I am amazed how long and far this has gone. No wonder the pc-demoscene is what it is today, with all this. Sure, I am not a coder but well this "I have something that is not even made", kind of feels bad. It's like to have a wetdream about tools and programs you never will get. and Somehow to get off by those inner thoughts some people make up a story about what tools they don't have. Get my point?
Anyhow, just wait for a real official release and meawhile do your stuff like, code, graphics, music, design or just have great fun to motivate all people involved in the demoscene! :) I mean it can't be that hard to juuuuuust do that :)
Have an awesome day you guys!

I do not distribute trojans or viruses. You can check wz3full.exe with antivirus or compare wz3te.exe with wz3full.exe with diff -- only 7 bytes are changed.

Tend to agree. Of course is always up to the developers to release their secret weapons to the public, but some insight about the tool that designed many awesome demos makes me feel more respect about the people behind it.
