Amiga winamp visualization like player for workbench?

category: general [glöplog]

There is an electronic music festival in greece this June and I am organizing a demoscene show for retro computers, mostly Amigaaahhh!

I also thought to have some player loop and play some classic mods when I am not showing demos. What player to look out for? (The Amiga is AGA with accelerator and runs some workbench I think) If it also has some nifty visualisations it will be better..

Also are there sites with a list of top amiga musics, to easilly find several of the classics I know and some good mods I didn't know?

You should have someone show demos when you're not showing demos. That's the best kind of visualization you will ever have.

WRONG!!!!!!!
I (obviously) agree with Preacher.

One of the complaints we got at the scenebooth last year at Assembly was that occasionally, someone would decide to not show demos, and instead, show Winamp Visualizations of some network streamed mods.

People HATED that.

Show demos. Put on one of the DemoDVD's - throw a few on rotation. Download a ton of video versions or stream Demoscene TV.

But please don't chase interested people away by boring the shit out of them with a Winamp vizualization.
* Yes, I am trying very hard to repress the urge to fly to Greece and rip Optimus' vital organs out for even suggesting that using a MikMod based player to play Amiga mods would be acceptable.
Nah ok. But nobody replied with some answer.
The organizer is with electronic music and also thought about playing some mods but it's ok I prefer demos except if I have to go to sleep for a while :P
